I found a little tin of this. I think it was another tea set aside for a swap that never came to be. As such, I am sipping on it now with honey because caffeine free and that means its hydrating and I don’t really care to taste it or not.

What I do get is sweet apple, bolstered by the honey of course….and rooibos. Woody rooibos. Not my favorite but serving its purpose as a hydrating tea and a way of getting more honey. I have had a lot of honey actually. I think I have powered through 1/2 a 1 kg bottle. Oops. Though it seems to be helping.

Cold Brew Sipdown (826)!

This smells really good, though kind of like Applejacks cereal? Y’know, an almost artificial sweet apple aroma with a subtle sweet, warming cinnamon. If it tasted like that I would have been REALLY happy – but instead it’s more like woody rooibos with the sweetness of apple (without the flavour) and just a tinnyyyy tiny hint of cinnamon.

I’ll finish it though because it’s caffeine free (it’s too late for caffeine now), and cold and refreshing. I’ve been DYING of heat every afternoon going into the evening for the last few days and I just didn’t get why and then today mother nature decided to visit a week early and it suddenly clicked. So, the more refreshing things to help balance out the swing of hormones the better…

This is a typical red rooibos base with the usual rooibosy notes (minerals, wood, rooibos. honey) and something I would describe as cinnamon apple. It is a basic blend, but it makes a fine caffeine free latte for my lazy evening. I always like a good rooibos in the evenings. The cinnamon has started to fade a little bit, however it has aged pretty well since it was opened a few years ago.
