I’m getting close to a sipdown of this, about 2 cups left! This one is nice and light and fresh, a good contrast to the sweet carmamel banana tea I had before it. It’s actually quite thirst quenching to me as well, but I think I would prefer a bit more mint and jasmine than green tea for flavor, it still has that grassiness that is ok, but not my favorite. But it’s still yummy, and I will gladly finish my cup. See previous notes on this tea :)

ETA – this gets much tastier as it cools, the mint and jasmine become more pronounced. I like it :)

There are a few flavors/ingredients that I feel easily overwhelm blends. You know, the ones where if there’s more than a tiny pinch in your spoon, it’s all you are going to taste. Mint is clearly one: it’s often hard to taste anything BUT mint. Jasmine is another: even when combined with other strong florals like rose, I find it to be overwhelming if not used with a gentle hand. However, they’re both ingredients I love when used right (or on their own) so of course when I saw this blend added to Della Terra’s site I wanted to see them “face off” as it were. In a battle for flavor dominance, who will win?!

I only got a sample size for this: I love the option to choose your own Try Me pack, that way you can really get a feel for the blends before committing to buy large portions. So I have about 4 cups of Jasmint to experiment with: the first I cold brewed, since I love cold mint and cold floral teas. The smell is WOAH MINT, all up in your nose. Peppermint, I think? It’s got that sweetness that peppermint does, though of course I could be wrong. I thought “oh, well I see mint was the winner in this battle!” but of course I was wrong.

Upon taking a sip, there was a whole lot of jasmine! AND a whole lot of mint! The funny thing is, you don’t get them at the same time. Like, one sip is super minty and the next is super floral and jasmine-y. I think there’s an undercurrent of mint/jasmine combo but it seemed like one or the other was in the lead with each mouthful. Kind of weird, but an interesting tasting experience for sure! I do love both flavors, so I was definitely pleased by the outcome. A war of flavor in my cup! I’ll definitely be trying this one hot as well… perhaps then a victor will be named?

I love this flavor combination! I was actually going to name my Whisper of the Woods blend Jasmint for a while :)

Haha, there’s also an Adagio blend called “Jazz Mint”, it seems like the obvious name choice!

Yep! I’ve noticed recently, also, that coldbrewed teas taste completely different than hot brewed then chilled. Mint especially comes out much heavier than the tea itself when brewed in cold water.

Thank you Cavocorax for this sample.

I know I commented earlier expressing my need for ‘black tea’ but now I have a need for mint tea and this was the first one I could find. Also one of my most recently received samples.

The raw blend does have a refreshing minty smell but very mildly, but so is the sweet jasmine so it seems a fair balance.

Once steeped this tea is light yellow and has a gentle floral aroma.

Flavour is gentle and a little sweet with both ultra subtle hints of jasmine and mint. It’s very refreshing and much lighter than I expected but I think that works well in it’s favour. Also a little creamy and smooth.

All in all I think this is a success, a great palate cleanser and I bet it would make for an interesting iced tea. Thanks for sharing this with me Cavocorax :)

I made a cup of this to take to work with me this afternoon. I wanted something light and mellow that would inspire me to get my work done as fast as possible.

It worked. I was only there for about two hours. Yay!

This is a really nice blend of jasmine and green tea, with a refreshing bite of mint. It all works so well together, such a delicious cup of tea.

I was looking for something uncomplicated this morning since I woke up not feeling well. I love jasmine and mint and have never tried the two together, but it is a marvelous combination. It left me thinking, why didn’t I think of that?

What I really enjoyed was that I didn’t get both flavors in one sip, but I would taste jasmine with one sip and mint with the next. I do think that next time I will use more than 1t per 6oz as directed, I would have like the flavors to be a little stronger.

I’ll have to finish off my sample package, but this may make it into my permanent rotation of teas. I’m really glad that I decided to try a cup of this hot rather than cold steep it first, I would have really missed out.

I received a sample of this from Suziqzer. Thank you!!!

I have been really leery of Jasmine. This was a nice subtle jasmine that worked well for me this afternoon. I unfortunately didn’t get too much of the mint out of this, but this was a really nice relaxing cup.

Hubby didn’t get a lot of mint w/this either, but enjoys Jasmine.

I love Jasmine and mint so I was excited to try this! At first I just tasted the Jasmine. As I continued to sip it, I felt the cooling sensation of mint, but didn’t really taste. I think the mint mainly supported and enriched the jasmine, making it a dramatic soprano instead of a lyric coloratura. I added a little clover honey in about halfway through and it really helped the mint flavor come out. It still didn’t take center stage, but it’s supporting role became more pronounced. Overall a very refreshing tea!

First off, Yay to me for not ruining my entire Della Terra order by ordering all flavored blacks (which I’ve found I don’t like).

Tried this guy out for the first time tonight. And the verdict is YUM! As a green tea and mint fan I was hopeful this would be just what I was looking for. Mint and jasmine are present but not overpowering at all. Just a nice little added note. I can see myself enjoying this one a lot. I expect it will be something I reorder.

We have very similar tastes…though I found this one slightly imbalanced, I will be re-ordering

Honestly I’m not experienced enough to know perfect balance in a tea yet. I just know it’s much more balanced then the mint matcha I’m sending you lol.

no matter how many years one has in tea, often that kind of thing is still subjective :)

I didn’t like their flavored blacks either until I let one get cold and took a sip. Now I’m re-tasting them all iced. Some I’m still not fond of, but some I’m now finding quite delicious.
