This was a freebie, thrown into my Poshmark order, courtesy of a nice seller.
I like it more than I expected to.
I try to stay away from things that have artificial flavour in them but it’s not always easy since so many things have it included these days, this tea being one of them. I thought about docking it a mark based on that fact alone but I can’t justify it as I actually really enjoyed it and the flavour was surprisingly good. It deserves the 80 that I have given it.
Sometimes in a tea, I can’t taste all of the advertised ingredients but this was an exception as I can taste most of the components. The green tea itself is a tad astringent, not quite as smooth as I’d like it to be but you can definitely taste the jasmine in there. It has a sweetness to it but it’s tempered so it’s not too sweet. I can sense an overall fruitiness in general but it’s the apple that stands out the most. It brings to mind a creamy, vanilla, custard type of dessert, making this tea successful in trying to achieve the effect of a Creme Brulee.
This made for a satisfying sipping experience. I won’t seek it out to buy (I would if it didn’t have artificial flavouring) but I did thoroughly enjoy my mugful.
