Due to the price, I have tried unsuccessfully to create my own blend similar to this, but have just given up; I purchase this without hesitation on the price tag. This heavenly blend of chai mate and white chai is out-of-this-world! A perfect blend of autumn spices, this tea can be re-steeped. I love strong tea, so I often let this steep until I finish the cup. The result is a wonderfully spicy last gulp. This is my go-to tea; if I’m not sure what tea I’m in the mood to enjoy, I reach for this. It’s good iced, although best hot.

drank Christmas Eve by Stash Tea

Christmas Eve Herbal is the perfect compromise of spice and mint, with a little citrus. The aroma and taste do remind me of Christmas; the tea is all-season, though. Brew a cup in July to reminisce about the holiday season!

I LOVE the tea bag version of this tea, but not the loose tea kind. The loose tea offers up a tart, hibiscus aroma that, in my opinion, doesn’t blend well with the other Christmas flavors of spice and mint.

I rated this tea based on the tea bagged version – which is the perfect compromise of spice and mint, with a little cit

drank Moroccan Mint by Stash Tea

This is a decent green tea blend, good enough but not my favorite. I find the flavors (mint, lemongrass and green tea) are not properly balanced – the mint is too strong, most often. While I enjoy mint teas, I would have preferred a subtle mint taste blending with the green tea. Still, I’d buy it again.

drank Moroccan Mint by Teavana

Teavana’s Moroccan Mint is one of my favorite morning blends. The minty and smoky flavor, when properly brewed, is refreshing and pleasant – just the right medley of mint and gunpowder green. If you like a stronger tea (like me) I add a heaping teaspoon per 8 oz of water and brew almost three minutes. I do recommend being careful about the temperature. I guesstimate well below boiling; that is how I enjoy it. The flavor is uplifting and refreshing – even as a hot tea in the heat of summer. This is delicious iced as well.

I love the subtle cocoa aroma of this tea. Black Dragon Pearl brews up strong but can be re-steeped (re-stept?) if needed. A pinch of sugar or Splenda, in my case, finishes this full-bodied flavor.

Hello fellow tea fans!
I’ve been a tea enthusiast for years but just recently started brewing my own. I’ve created some blends, and enjoy researching about new teas. I combined my love of tea and writing to create a tea-devoted blog, Keen Tea Thyme. I have been writing for most of my life and am a former journalist with a degree in Communications and Social Psychology, and a minor in Writing. Journalism is in my blood, so that means I’m inquisitive by nature, will double-check sources and/or get a second opinion as needed, but also fair and balanced in my reviews. If my reviews seem more positive, energetic and have high ratings, it’s because I love tea. :)

If you are a tea company, I’d love to review some your tea! Free samples are always welcome so I can fully enjoy the freshest selections. I’m also open to tea swaps as I always have too many teas on hand to drink & would love to share with other tea enthusiasts! :)

My Simple Rating Scale (as of Feb. 2011)
>50: I’m NOT a fan. I could barely finish the cup, if I even did. I wouldn’t even recommend this to my worst enemy. Not worth my time nor yours.

51-65: Good aroma, good flavor. Just nothing pops to give the tea that special kick. Recommended to try; our tasting palates differ.

66-79: Yes, finally, tea – unique flavor profiles, great aroma & flavor. Recommended to try; our tasting palates differ.

80-99: These are cupboard essentials – delicious, aromatic and perfect everyday teas. Re-steepable (beyond at least one steeping). Highly recommended, fun for all ages.

100: These are my favorites, the ones I would take with me if stranded on a desert island. Beyond Highly Recommended.
