513 Tasting Notes
I love cold and flu season, not. This is not a tea I reach for quickly or often, but it is not awful either. I like it when I have a bit of cold, because the menthol helps make me feel a but more human again. Though, I would not consider this a tea I drink for pleasure, it certainly makes having to drink cold fighting teas more enjoyable.
Big thanks to Janelle, I had enough for one cup of this. I waited for the perfect evening. The boy is sleeping, our brand new kitten (a terribly pathetic but adorable four week old rescue) has finally fallen asleep on my lap, my show is on, and I am enjoying this tea. God I love this tea! The base is so smooth and it is such a sweet sugar hit. I am so crushed it is not available anymore. I can admit to occasionally stalking DT online hoping in vain that it will come up on clearance.
This was a much enjoyed cup and, who knows one day I might get another. :)
This was a very surprising tea. I was prepared not to like it because instinctively, I am not crazy about the smell of bergamot. However, this tea is a very mild version of bergamot. The citrus in the lemon really does wonders to temper it. This will likely never be my favourite white tea, but I am glad I have some of it to try!
I have rediscovered this tea in the last few days. I was all over it during the holiday season, then it slipped after I got back from being away. Even though I now know how much of the licorice root I am tasting, it is still a really nice tea. I both it an David’s White Chocolate Frost but, when I am looking for something truly sweet, this tends to be the cup I reach for. I like the chocolate on the rooibos base, it seems to almost enhance the chocolate flavour.
