Every time I spot another lychee-flavored tea, I have to add it to my shopping list immediately. I love the fruit, but I have yet to find a tea that tastes as good as it smells. So far, I’ve tried the Lichee from Lupicia, the Lychee Black from Samovar, and the Lychee from Chado Tea Room. They don’t deviate too far from each other as far as ratings go in my book.

I almost forgot that I got this during a trip to the Farmer’s Market during the summer. A decent pu-erh, nothing out of the ordinary, but there’s still nothing like a pot of hot pu-erh to wake you up in the morning.

So I’ve been on this milk tea kick for the last few weeks, but this morning I just needed something simple and “refreshing” so I grab the only unflavored oolong left in my cupboard which happened to be — King’s 313 green oolong.

Strong and smokey and will hopefully help me with this lab report this late night.

drank Kenmare Ceylon by Chado

Drinking this with a bit of milk. A habit I’ve recently picked up after weeks of having afternoon tea with my British friend. I have to brew my tea darker than usual in order for it taste decent with the milk.

drank Thai Tea Blend by Teavana

Taken with a bit of condensed milk to give it more of that sweetness and lightness in color that I’m used to at restaurants. I’m still working out the milk to tea ratio though.

I’m actually drinking a mix of Andrew & Dunham’s Jasmine Green and Adagio Teas’s Jasmine #5, because there wasn’t enough of the Jasmine #5 left to make a full cup. It’s really hard to go wrong with jasmine tea with me, since jasmine is my absolute favorite flavor. <3

“A random girl trying to find her element. Meanwhile she’s studying nutrition, after spending her undergrad exploring neuroscience, natural health, and tea.”

Tea logging has become a rare event since graduate school, but I try to add notes whenever I try something new.

My favorite teas are milk oolong, jasmine tea, genmaicha, and an assam with milk.
