So far I’ve only had this tea cold, so it was definitely interesting to have it as a hot late night cuppa. It’s definitely more overtly tart, but I like that kind of punch of hibiscus with the really sweet, juicy ripe peach notes. It comes off a little more artificial/candy-like to me this way, but is still enjoyable. There’s a subtle creaminess to the finish, but it’s easy to miss. Especially if you’re not taking gaps in between sips. I do think this shines a bit brighter cold brewed, but it was good!
Cold Brew!
I went a little hard on the tea leaf so this was super saturated tasting and almost a little syrupy in mouthfeel, but the combination of juicy sweet peach candy notes with the subtly berry-like tangy hibiscus top notes and that swirl of creamy vanilla in the finish was deeply enjoyable and just screamed summer to me.
I think I have just enough leaf left for one pitcher, so I’m gonna save it for more in the heart of summer to have the final sipdown be this ultimate juicy, fresh and ripe summer peach kind of vibe. I’m already looking forward to it.
Cold Brew!
I bought a gaiwan from Misty Mountain this past tea festival (in the first pic) and I ended up adding this in at the same time on impulse. It smelled kind of like Peach Soda from Bird & Blend which I like a lot, just minus the cardamom. So I got it hoping it would taste similar and I could use it to help stretch out my quickly depleting back of Peach Soda…
It doesn’t taste quite like I imagined – it’s a little more tart/hibiscus forward and the peach note is a little more Fuzzy Peaches. There’s also a subtle creamy/yogurty undertone that I liked a lot too. However, even if it wasn’t quite what I hoped for, it was still very delicious and it’s definitely going to make for a really good summer cold brewing blend. I’ll have no problems finishing this.

Ok so it isn’t surprising that this tea is finicky. Yanno, cuz those white teas are entitled princesses haha
(all jest! I’m politically neutral and accepting, of course. Just mocking the media here…)
Anyhow. The balance of peach flavour vs steep time and amount of leaf/water needs more research. Hmmm. Lowering from 93 to 89.
This is now in my cupboard. It smells SO GOOD. The dry leaf smells like a perfume I want to wear.
To be honest, I’d say this is essentially the peach version of my all time fave strawberry white tea. I liked that one better hot, just as I do this one. Both have a rather delicate and slightly tart note when hot and become a tad cloying as it cools. But I don’t care. Those first sips when it’s hot are priceless and make me wanna swoon! I am so in love… even more so than with the sample I tried at the festival. Although I highly suspected it would be as such. Happy sighs!
I’m grabbing some of this if the lady who runs the shop is able to attend our meeting. Well, her daughter is the real brains… but I think she’s still in highschool or just graduated. I love supporting local businesses, even better when it’s quality!
I sampled this tea at the festival. Juicy and ripe peach notes and just the right amount of sweetness. Highly impressed. They have an icewine tea as well. I haven’t tried it but I am a serious sucker for icewine tea!
After having had this a few times, I am in very like, almost love with this tea. Probably because I enjoy maple, but it isn’t my fave. If maple is your jam? this will be YOUR jam. Wait. Is maple jam a thing? cuz if it is I so wanna try that.
Anyhow. I’ll keep this one on my rotation going forward for as long as it’s around, though I don’t think its really a staple item. It’s quality enough that I’ll use it for gift giving, and I like to have hidden jems (not jams in this case) in my back pocket so that should give you an idea of how highly I regard this tea!!

Black tea and maple blended perfectly together. Made it through just one steep so I’m not gonna rate it yet. However… all the maple teas I’ve had so far haven’t ever really captured the essence of what I imagine a maple tea to be, or even to create a true maple flavour that balances with the tea. This tea? Balance, flavour, and depth! I’m impressed.
They also have a nice lineup of other things. Thanks for bringing them to my attention. I see an order in my future.
@Evol – yes, Canadian! I should drink it while watching the Olympics :P
They might be at the next tea guild meeting. There was one blend I thought about asking her to bring.
This one. I sampled it at the festival. Juicy peach notes! https://www.mistymountaintea.com/collections/white-tea/products/moon-rabbit
They don’t really sell, I just knew that they would sell out of that one and so told her that I really wanted it… yet didn’t want to cost them a sale. So if they could bring it to the next meeting, I’d grab it then
We are totally on the same page!
Here’s the ice wine one. https://www.mistymountaintea.com/products/dionysus
