TTB tea! The flavor here is fruity with a mild black base in the background. It’s not distinctly passion fruit, but it’s tasty enough! I wouldn’t mind even stronger or more distinct flavoring here though.

TeaTiff TTB #8

If this wasn’t labeled as a black tea, I might have guessed it was an oolong. Super smooth with a rich, buttery mouthfeel! The passionfruit flavor was a bit muted when hot, but came through more strongly as it cooled. I’m thinking this would be amazing as an iced tea!

I tried this tea for my refill at Noodles and Company after my normal Passion Fruit Black tea. I was not impressed by this tea. It tasted vaguely fruity, with maybe a little green tea taste. The jasmine was completely MIA. It just tasted really watered down. Maybe whoever brewed it did so incorrectly. I was not a fan. I’ll probably stick to the Passion Fruit black tea when I’m at Noodles and Company.

:( very disappointing. I think blackberry jasmine green sounds like a great combination.

Totally disappointing! I had high hopes when I saw they had added this tea.

I had this tea with my lunch today at Noodles and Company. Normally, I don’t like iced teas at restaurants because a lot of times they’re from concentrate (blech). This tea is pretty good though. It’s fresh and fruity, not artificial tasting at all. I don’t know that it exactly tastes like passion fruit but it tastes good!

Iced tea has always been a staple in my home, but I find many restaurant teas to be hit or miss. Anymore I generally avoid ordering them because they just aren’t up to my standards. I love this tea, it is one of my favorites when I’m eating out because it is so much nicer than the standard Lipton tea or ::shudder:: tea concentrates that many restaurants favor. Huge bonus points for actually being loose leaf tea. I recently had it at Noodles and Company, but PF Changs and a number of other restaurants serve it. You don’t need to add a sweetener and it has a nice fruity flavor to it, even if it doesn’t really taste like passion fruit. This is definitely on my top 5 list for favorite restaurant teas.

Bland, absolutely no tea taste of any kind, let alone black tea. Adding milk and sugar made the beverage taste of diluted hot milk. Relatively flavorless.

As far as mint teas go: meh. Did have some peppermint aroma and taste that tempered by spearmint, but I couldn’t taste much of the spearmint.

My China Mist Organic Black was just the plain black blend. It is smooth, yet robust. I steeped the bag for four minutes. liked this tea.

Wow…I kind of love this tea, and I have no idea how to order more of it! My mother actually found this in the clearance bin at the store. Needless to say, I wasn’t expecting much. However, upon opening the individually wrapped packets, I was happy see that these were actually whole leaf teas, encased in nylon sachets. Just under 3 minutes of steeping results in a well-balanced cup of jasmine white tea, with a hint of sweet orange. More than 3 minutes of steeping and the brew begins to get bitter, so it’s important to watch the time on this one. The tea is not too perfumey, and you can taste the white tea base. The orange is secondary to the jasmine and white tea, like a hint of flavor floating above the jasmine white tea base. The actual character of the orange flavor changes from sip to sip. Near the beginning of the cup, it reminded me of a sweet, “dark” orange flavor (like in orange soda, but less artificial); and now, by the end, I’m thinking of navel oranges. Mmm. I need to figure out how to get more of this….

Found a sample tea pouch while looking through my tea cabinet. I think I received it as a free sample at a green festival. It tastes a little grassier than other genmaicha I’ve tried, but it was a good brew for bedtime.

I really like this tea. Its robust and brisk without being bitter or astringent. It comes in a huge pyramid tea bad which I cup open and steep. I think it taste better, I know its only in my head but oh well. I wish I knew what teas were used but what ever they used it works. Its organic and has an underlying sweetness to it.

This is a very rich and tasty cup of tea. Its a huge tea bag so I used 14 oz of water. It looks like a huge mini pillow after steeping. I’m going to try and use it again when I finish this cup. At first I thought this was Keemun tea but I think its too brisk and robust to be that. Maybe Kenyan? I wish I knew more about teas so that I could tell, but I’m no expert. No bitterness and maybe just a touch of astringency. This is a very nice breakfast tea and its organic to boot.
2nd steep;
I’m surprised, this cup was almost as good as the first. No bitterness or astringency and still kept most of the robust and brisk taste. I can’t do this with most pyramid bags, very nice cup.

Yeah, I cut open the pyramid tea bag and steeped this tea the normal way. Its such a rich and flavorful tea. The box reads organic China black teas so I’m assuming there is quite a bit of Keemun tea in it. It has a similar taste to Harney and Sons English Breakfast. I steeped about 16 ounces of tea in a mug and its really very good. The box has 1.6 ounces of tea in only 15 tea bags so I’m tempted to open all of the bags. The tea is very smooth with no bitterness or astringency. Its probably just me but I think the tea taste better w/o the bag. So. I’m going to up my rating a few points as I really like this tea.

First of all, this is a huge tea bag. The tea is whole leaf and is in a pyramid bag. It will steep 16 to 20 ounces of tea. The tea is a brown amber in color. It is a brisk mellow tea with no bitterness or astringency. I found it marked down at TJ Maxx, therefore a bargain. I like it much better than Awake (Tazo). Its very easy to drink w/o sugar or milk. A very nice tea.

The vanilla is smooth, but the tea is dull and boring.
