I wasn’t in a mood for a tea today.

But decided to brew something and this tea bag I got somewhere, I wonder where I got it. Company doesn’t exist from April 2018, last (working) website capture is from January 2016. So it is at least 4 and half years old tea. Sad to see companies go.

For some reason I thought it is berry tea with black tea base. It is not.

While steeping a weird medicinal aroma jumped out of mug. Honeslty I was afraid I will have to dump it, but then more fruity notes appear (although in artificial way). After 4 minutes of steeping the colour was pretty similar to colour on the box.

Taste wasn’t watery at all, it was pretty much fruity. Raspberries, hints of strawberry. Artifical though pretty much. Luckily everything as medicinal turned into artificial (a good change? Who knows.) I am surprised that spearmint is in, I haven’t noticed it at all. Nor rooibos. And it was actually pretty tart (I assume lots of hibiscus was in).

Oh well… why I am drinking old tea bags of companies which don’t exist anymore?

Sad so many companies are closing. This one had a great name.

Indeed. Great name and pretty nice visual. As I had only two of their teas, I don’t know much about teas.

What a rainy day. It rains so much I can’t see shop approximately 200 metres away (approx. 650 ft). So this is a winter huh?

Another tea from huge bags, but I think this one is actually one of those I bought there.

Anyway the tea I steeped quite long and… luckily it doesn’t turn bitter. It was meh, though. It was quite distinctive in matter of base tea, it was chocolatey, quite sweet – weird for Ceylon black. And the bergamot there? It was there, but only tiny bit… not very distinctive! I was craving strong EG and this was just like some common black tea. Not bad though. Just expected something else

I’m not a huge fan of artificial cherry, which is the dominant flavor here, but I’m still enjoying this. It’s very lightly flavored, and I like the way the cherry plays with the vanilla and green tea. I made this with a couple splashes of cold water mixed with boiling water, and I’m not getting any bitterness from the green tea. I’m only getting a little bit of a floral flavor, and even that fades as the cup cools, but that might be a bit more prominent with a newer sample. This tastes delicate and feminine to me, and makes me think of things associated with tea parties – dainty sweets and floral patterned china, so that’s a bonus. I think it’s worth buying a box to see how I like it over the long term.

I got to try a bag of this in a TTB today. It brewed really quickly and it’s quite dark for a green tea. It has a sweet and fruity scent. It’s very inviting. It also has a hint of tanginess to it which might come from the marigold. I didn’t add sugar to it, but it’s nice unsweetened. It’s not bitter and kind of reminds me of cider because of the color. I wouldn’t buy it, but it’s a good green tea, and I would offer it to others who wanted to try green tea but didn’t want something too vegetal.

A very unique tea. Wish I could explain the taste of Cherry marigold to you but I honestly have no idea of how to explain it. The vanilla and the green tea are definitely the predominate flavors but there is another flavor in there that I just can’t quite wrap my head around. It’s also hard because I can’t tell if it’s the vanilla I’m tasting. Can’t say I’ve ever had marigold before so it’s hard to determine.

Regardless very good tea. Worth at least a try if you enjoy the flavor of vanilla. Also, it’s good both warm and cold. Though I prefer it warm.

This is funny. Found it at TJ Maxx, funny packaging, odd ingredient list which consists of berries and nothing else (although I broke a the bag apart and am completely confused by the contents, which included greens). Has a light fruit taste, no depth. I am using it in a spritzer bottle for setting make-up and mixing it into facial masks for clients. Smells lovely.

I know it sounds strange, but I’m going to have to try this stuff!!! Wonder if my TJ Maxx has it…

i went on their website, UK based. I think what’s happening is that it is a start-up and they changed packaging. I am a tea start-up too, so i hope she does very well. packaging is tough. if you find the “super anti-ageing” tea with the lady on front, try it! If I see some more I will pick it up and send to you.

Jaime

I’ll definitely pick some up if I see it, and thanks!!

I couldn’t find much out about this tea except that its all Ceylon and from the UK. I found it at T.J. Maxx marked down to $2, and thats for 50 bags (4 cents each). Its an ok breakfast tea and the taste is typically Ceylon, no bells or whistles that I could find. The tea is only slightly bitter and does have some astringency. I think any steep over 2 minutes could make this tea undrinkable for me. I have no intention of drinking another cup of this tea, I’m going to take it to my wife’s sister who makes iced tea from Walmart brand tea.

This tea is fabulous!
It smelled like a sachet at first, but I brought myself to try it. The rose flavor is sweet and calming—not at all over-powering—and the wafting scent works wonders!

If I could to nominate a Tea of the Year, this would be my choice! It’s true, what the description says; if you add a bit of sugar, it’s absolutely like drinking fine rose Turkish delight. Add honey instead of sugar to tone down the rose a bit.
