1271 Tasting Notes
This Oriental Beauty has a great fruity based flavor! Early steepings I got raisins and later infusions I got pear. Also present is a thick body, toasty bread, bit of spice and lots of honey notes. With the aroma cup, it smells like cinnamon buns!
Interestingly, steep this tea with boiling water and you get a dark cherry notes instead of raisins and pears, however with the hotter water temperature you get a fairly dry mouth feel.

Preparation
This caffeine free herbal tea is super cool! The appearance is really neat in a big stemmy pearls. The pearls unfurl right away leaving a vibrant green leaf!
The taste is barley, corn, roast and sweet (like sweet potatoes and hits your mouth similar to stevia). This tea also resteeped very well, I got 3 infusions! I like the 2nd and 3rd infusions best as they were less sweet.
Totally check this one out for a new, adventurous caffeine free option!

Really nice oolong – complex and the flavors change with each infusion! I got woodsy, cherry, butter, mineral and roasted barley. The cherry is a really tasty aftertaste! The oolong gets nice and sweet, with no dryness. The leaf on this tea is huge too!

Preparation
I tried this product at the LA tea festival and had to take it home with me! It is a sweet mango green tea matcha mix with a mega backing of creamy. The ingredients has organic coconut oil, which I think is the reason why this mix has a thick creamy feel to it! The mango flavor is quite strong and maybe too sweet for some. The matcha in this is pretty light (the mix itself is kind of yellow pea green than vibrant grass green), so the green flavor is on the low side. This mix is more of a sweet treat or for types that don’t like grassy matchas.

DRUNK ON RED
Just the name itself calls all the tea drunk hopefuls to purchase. For $4.50 100g cake, it is hard to resist! This compressed black tea is woodsy (cherry wood) and fruity (raspberry and currants). It is easy to drink as it’s smooth and fruity. I got 7 good infusions too.

Yum, coconut fan checking in! This flavored matcha is really tasty – very creamy sweet coconut that satisfies all my creamy cravings (I love creamy food and desserts, omg). The coconut flavor is light, but tasty and works well with the matcha.
I’m excited 3 Leaf does samples, I am tempted to try a couple more flavors! (Their hot chocolate is amazing btw)

Mmmmm, this matcha made as a latte is like drinking peaches and cream (with matcha!) The flavoring on this one is light (lighter than the other one I tried, coconut) with a white peach flavor, mostly in the aftertaste. With light flavoring you can enjoy the matcha more.

I quite enjoyed this sheng – thought I am partial to jing mai raw pu’er. This one is full of orchid notes with a powerfully lingering orchid aftertaste. There is a bit of peachy apricot (probably from the floral), thick body and a nice sweetness. There is a bit of dryness, but still easy to enjoy.

Preparation
My mother in law bought me this tea while she was in New Calendonia last year. What makes this chai unique is its use of native New Zealand horopito pepper.
Turns out, this moderate spicy chai has some heat! The more so sip, the hotter it gets! But the heat doesn’t linger, so it is a friendly heat. Plenty of cinnamon, cloves and ginger, so it has a cider vibe to it. The honeybush is woodsy, but also has a wateryness.

SOOO GOOD if you love creamy black teas! This black is super smooth with lots of creamy, raisin, chocolate, malt, caramel and toast. It’s like liquid bread pudding!
This tea does a great second infusion and can take long infusions for travel mugs or forgetful steepers.
