17 Tasting Notes
I tried this for my Day 4 of my advent calendar. I generally love black teas, but this one is just not for me. I opened the container and it smelled okay, but didn’t smell caramel-y to me. I steeped it and I tried it and didn’t like it. I tried adding milk but still tasted odd to me. The tea didnt taste like what I imagined salted caramel to taste like. The tea and the flavors are rich, but artificial tasting in a odd way. I think if it wasn’t so rich and strong tasting I might like it more.
I love this tea! It is so chocolate-y, so rich. It such an complex and amazing blend, it reminds me a bit of Fantasy Island but richer! After your sip you taste a bit of raspberry after taste. The dry leaves smell so yummy, I keep opening the jar to smell it. A plus is that its a Mate which is a good alternative to caffeine!
I tried this for the day 3 of my advent calendar. I have never tried this before and didnt realize there was coconuts in it. I made a Chai Latte by boiling milk and water with the tea with a bit of brown sugar. It tasted amazing, it was very chai! I dont know if I can taste the coconuts with all that chai spice going on but it was delicious regardless! I might just have to buy more since its rooibos tea and I can have it at night!
I tried this for Day 1 of my advent calendar. The smell of the dry leaves is amazing, when steeped it taste so rich and yummy! It tasted buttery-rummy but I dont know if I taste the coconut. I think I am going to try it with almond milk next time! A great tea to start off the advent calendar, David’s Tea!
Preparation
I got 10g to sample then I got 100g tin of this a few weeks ago. I am now almost done my 100 g tin. This tea is amazing. I wouldn’t say I am a crazy nut lover but this tea is soo yummy. The smell of it in the tin is very almondy with a bit of cinnamon. When brewed it smells just as good. When you drink it you get a bit of tart apple-ness in it then almonds and a bit of cinnamon.
The only problem I have with it is the ingredients are that well dispersed. I brewed a cup which was almost all apple with a bit of almond and no cinnamon or beet root so it was yellow instead of pink.
I love this tea! It smells and taste great. Its fruity tasting because of the pineapple and peaches. It gets a bit murky when you brew it. I love that the bamboos cool you it’s perfect for summer. I think it’s very cool there are bamboo leaves something natural and not commonly used. Give this tea a try if you like fruit teas. I would get a bit first to try before committing to a tin. Some people claim it smells terrible but I don’t get that at all, it smells fruity in the tin.
I bought this way back in April when it first launched. I got 100g tin before trying it which I guess i should have gotten less. At first the smell and taste was overwhelming. The taste seemed very artificial but I couldn’t figure out what it tasted like. When you brew this your whole room will smell like the tea. After a few more tries it grew on me and I now like it for the occasional cup with a bit of soy. I wish it was more natural and less artificial. If you love birthday cake and sprinkles and don’t mind artificial tasting tea, this tea is for you!
I have to say this is one delicious tea! It was sold out for a while and they finally had stock late aug. I love this iced, actually it taste odd hot. It is sweet, so you don’t need to add sugar. I don’t think I taste a lot of watermelon. I get more honey dew melons as apples. In my 100g tin there is barely any watermelon pieces but it taste great regardless.
I tried this in the store and it tasted like sweet milk tea. The sweet milk was light but the aroma smells great. I bought this yesterday and I tried three steeps all were delicious. It’s very light but you get the milk aroma and taste. It reminds me of Japanese milk candies. I should stock up, as they are closing.
