I finished off the sample I got of this from Cameron B.

Brewed in hot water (~350 mL) with 2 tbs leaf, with a fair bit of soymilk added.

I’m glad I tried a sample because I don’t think I would want an entire tin. It was a pleasant cup, but was your typical Chinese black tea base with a distinctly fruity flavour. I could pull out the orange peel and stonefruit flavours, but it was in a dried fruit sort-of-way and not a fresh juicy fruit way. The base is unremarkable. It would have been nice to get some cocoa notes like in Laoshan teas.

Flavors: Orange Zest, Stonefruit, Tannin, Tea

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 2 tsp 12 OZ / 350 ML

I’m sad to see this tea finished, but it was a delightful cup on a cold autumn morning.

As another reviewer mentioned, this is phenomenal with a touch of vanilla or hazelnut creamer. I like Silk’s soy creamer and it has a lot of flavour but in a way that compliments the coffee bean, toasty, and chocolate notes.

Flavors: Chocolate, Cocoa, Coffee, Cream, Custard, Mocha, Nutty, Roasted, Sweet, Thick

This is a strawberry and vanilla rooibos with a nice red rooibos base. It benefits from a splash of milk to bring out the vanilla notes. It is also great cold. The strawberry is very natural and somewhat subtle.

Flavors: Cream, Fruity, Rooibos, Strawberry, Sweet, Vanilla

Preparation
Boiling 8 min or more 2 tsp 20 OZ / 600 ML

drank Maple Matcha by DAVIDsTEA

Brewed in 250 mL hot water + 50 mL soy milk. This is very smooth and has a light maple flavour. It benefits from adding more milk to make it creamier and some maple syrup as sweetener.

Flavors: Maple, Maple Syrup

Preparation
190 °F / 87 °C

Bio

I am a biochem major hoping for a career in research genetics and evolutionary biology. I love science fiction and spend too much of my time reading comic books. I’m a passionate keeper of spiders, cacti, and exotic plants. I eat a vegan, plant-based diet for moral and environmental reasons (I mention this only because it is relevant to which flavoured teas I drink).

I drink mostly flavoured and low caffeine teas/tisanes, but I will try anything twice. As far as pure teas go, I gravitate towards whites, yellows, and jade oolongs. I’m always open for trades and sample sales/exchanges. Message me any time :)

My cupboard is mostly up to date. For a more comprehensive list, see my stash spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-HjWKR3um-xEnj6HC9vMvKXOAyj_bpW5u_2ixEC20-k/edit?usp=sharing
