First tea from the TTB.

I was excited to see this, as it had been on my list of brands/blends to try for awhile.

Delicious! Creamy vanilla and hazelnut. I added a sugar cube, which tempered the tiny bit of astringency. Really enjoyed this, looking forward to trying it as a latte.

These were displayed on the checkout counter at Paru, and I couldn’t help sniffing the sample as I checked out. Immediately had to purchase, based solely on the smell. These little coins smell like caramel- so delicious!

I steeped one up today, and the flavor does not disappoint. Tastes like caramel!

I recently drove down to San Diego for a concert, and had to finally make a stop at Paru! Decided on their La Jolla location, as they carry house-milled matcha. Decided to try out a cup to go vs. buying some to take home.
Went with iced/no sweetener. It was lovely! definitely fresh tasting, with some notes of cacao. Overall a delicious matcha, and it was so fun to be able to watch the mill working behind the counter.

The best part of the experience was how incredibly nice everyone at Paru was. So, so nice and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting if you’re ever in the San Diego area.

A bit underwhelmed by this. The cherry/almond aroma of the dry leaf is lovely. The flavor is a bit lacking.

I’m not tasting any honey. It’s just coming across as a brisk black tea. Meh.

Sipdown 63

Drank through this sample packet pretty quickly. It’s a lovely, straightforward vanilla blend.

This cup was lacking in the strawberry. But, it was still an enjoyable, creamy black tea.

Finished a 25g packet off at work. Luckily I have 8 more. It’s my go-to tea, as I’m pretty much always in the mood for it. My ultimate straight black tea.

Just finished off a 15g packet. I have 1 (maybe 2?) more sample packets somewhere. Such a delicious blend. Definitely the best version of a marshmallow treat tea.

This was never great, but it’s gotten a bit worse with time. The amaretto flavor has nearly faded, and there is a strange aquatic/saline quality, despite this being a black tea. I have enough for one more cup, but I’m probably going to say goodbye.
