1996 Tasting Notes
It’s chilly outside and I wanted something spicy and comforting, but had a black tea at breakfast, so wasn’t quite ready for another one. In comes this beauty that I had received in my B&B subscription. It has a predominately cinnamon aroma. The flavor is a nice combination of cloves, ginger, and cinnamon, and the green base is nice and mild. The ingredients list chili peppers, but I’m not getting any of the heat I would expect from the chili’s. Overall, a bit more mild than I expected but still an enjoyable, comforting cup.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger, Green
I opened the package and was met with a beautiful orangey honey aroma. I was super excited to brew up this cup after my dumped cup of Fireside Mocha. Unfortunately, this is another no for me. I don’t get any orange or honey notes, but instead an odd herbal/bitter flavor.
I found this tea pretty gross, and had to dump it after just a couple sips. The apples create an extremely odd flavor profile against the strong coffee notes. It is also sickeningly sweet, and was overly my main issue. A solid nope for me.
Flavors: Sweet
So, this is basically a spiced orange Forever Nuts. It’s pretty okay, but borders on an almost bubblegum-like medicinal flavor. It’s very heavy on the clove to my palate, and after a couple sips I got pretty sick of it. I’m glad I tried it, but I definitely don’t think I need to purchase anymore.
Flavors: Almond, Clove, Orange Zest
