18 Tasting Notes
What is there to say about this tea besides..I want to set up the tree and start the Christmas music NOW! I took my chances and ordered online before the “smell test”. I am not a peppermint fan, but I thought that if it just had a hint it wouldn’t be too bad. I am glad I ordered it!
This tea smells like Christmas in a cup. SO GOOD! There is a nice smell of peppermint, not to overpowering and a little kick of cinnamon. Then the taste test. Wow, perfect! They got the peppermint bang on…not too much, not too little! This is a new fave in my house!
Preparation
Hmm, this is an interesting one. I love caramel and I love spicy…but this tea didn’t satisfy me the way I thought it would. I am not sure where the caramel comes in, the spice I could taste. I was very excited to buy and try. But it left me wanting more. I still don’t see where the caramel comes in…
Even though I had just been in to DavidsTea a few weeks ago, when the Cookie Dough tea from the Winter Collection popped up on my Facebook page, I needed it NOW! So I did what any true blonde would do…instead of going into the store for an instant purchase, I tortured myself and ordered online.
I finally received my box of goodies, with many more teas than just the Cookie Dough! I ripped open the bag and took a sniff….ahhh, pure Heaven! If this tasted as good as it smelled, I would not be disappointed! So I impatiently steeped my tea…then did the sniff test again…again, pure Heaven! It almost had a nutty, caramel smell…so good! Then the taste test. PASS! This is now my new absolute favorite tea! When I take a sip, I am not reminded of cookie dough until the after taste hits.
I decided to make it into a latte…and WOW! If you own this tea, try a latte. It has a creamy, nutty, cookie like flavor. It almost reminds me of dipping my gramma’s fresh baked cookies into milk. Try it!!
Preparation
I am a huge fan of carrot cake. The mixture of spice, carrot and cream cheese makes my mouth very happy! So when I saw the Carrot Cake tea, I didn’t think I should even chance it, as it would have to be purely amazing to make me go back for more. The smell of the dry leaves didn’t excite me terribly, but I decided to take a chance, and bought some.
Tonight I had a huge craving for my fave cake and remembered I had this tea in the cupboard. So great time to try it, right? I brewed some up and took a sniff. Not a huge fan of the smell, but it wasn’t gross. Next was the taste test. One sip was enough to tell me this wasn’t going to kill my craving for Carrot cake. The tea was alright, tasted better the cooler it got. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it.
Earl Grey has always been one of my last choices of tea. But when I took one smell of this tea, I thought I would try it. Well, this tea has now become one of my favorites. When I am not sure what I am in the mood for, this tea is always the one I am grabbing. I like the subtle vanilla flavor, and it tastes even better with a splash of cream.
I am not usually into fruity teas. I am more of a spicy, nutty lover. But this tea has changed my mind. It doesn’t have an overpowering fruity taste, which I love, yet it tastes just like blueberry jam. So good and it has me wanting to try more fruity teas!
If you are not a huge fan of a nutty flavor in your tea, then this is not the tea for you. It is a herbal tea, but it’s all about the nutty flavor. That is all I taste…and I love it! It left a really nice aroma in my vehicle this morning too :)
