90 Tasting Notes
the first time I had this tea, I tried it really hot and unsweetened and was kind of meh. However, I got a chocolate craving tonight and brewed it a bit strong and sweetened with honey. It was like a cup of chocolate pudding. Oh no, another one I’m going to have to restock and it’s an online exclusive! That means I have to pay full price! harumph
why do I ever drink anything else ever. I can’t believe I haven’t had this is two months. It’s perfection. I always avoid it because it’s so touchy about temperature but as I was trying to pick a tea tonight I realized my water was perfect at that very moment for this tea.
Perfect Christmas Eve tea. Now if only netflix would start working!
Preparation
So, remember when all the fall teas went away and this one didn’t? I actually don’t know what the plan is. Like, is it in store for good? Are you going to take it away from me soon? ARE YOU GOING TO GIVE ME ENOUGH WARNING TO BUY FIVE KILOGRAMS OF THIS?
these are the things that keep me up at night
Yeah, I don’t know if you saw on the facebook page yesterday, but a bunch of people were like “please start giving us a month’s notice when you discontinue sometime.” Maybe they will listen.
I hope they listen. To be honest I didn’t realize this was still in stores – just emptied my tin and was trying (with no luck) to de-scent my tin for oolong.
Maybe I just need to refill my tin…
just made a cup of this after a furious bout of stress cleaning. Definitely helping to calm me down and bring me back to centre. I love this tea, I steeped it forever, probably like 20 minutes while I finished loading the dishwasher and tidying my kitchen and can definitely taste some astringency from the tulsi, but mostly it’s a lot of licorice. Which I love! I like the cooling effect it has on the back of my throat too. Ommmmmm
