This tea is not my favorite. I keep tasting more of a crisp minty taste and I feel like I should be tasting something more sweet. If you are going to go green, I feel like there are so many better options. “Cloud Mist” being one.

This is a solid choice if you are looking for a green that has a little more of a sweet taste rather than vegetal. There is also a little bit of a nutty taste here. Overall, this tea is pretty light in nature. I wouldn’t mind having something very similar to this with a more “full” flavor. Although this is a solid choice, I still prefer Sencha if I am going Japanese green.

This tea can be steeped about 3 times. I honestly only go twice. The third time simply fees too weak for me. It also shouldn’t be ignored. I let steep an extra 30(ish) seconds and I felt it go bitter fairly quick.

I actually purchased this tea from Happy Lucky’s in Fort Collins. However, I can’t seem to find it on their website so I am going to review the same tea from a different tea shop. I know, I know, risky business ;)

This tea is light and floral with a sweet taste going down. I would consider this to be more of a smooth taste rather than crisp. A nice cup of tea at night and a fair choice in the morning. I would prefer something a little stronger but if I am going to purchase a white tea, this would be a good option.

The leaves are larger and fluffy so it’s a tad hard to measure out the appropriate amount. I was told roughly 1 1/2 teaspoons per 8oz. However, if you can, I would suggest measuring by weight.

In terms of Yerba Mate this is a pretty good choice. It is a smooth feeling but also a bit of an earthy or wood-like taste. I wouldn’t consider mixing this mate with anything to make it more sweet. If you want to do that try the roasted yerba mate, which is actually my favorite.

This is a good Indian black tea if you looking for something that isn’t going to be chalked full of bitterness. They claim to have notes of raisins but honestly I don’t taste it… However, I do enjoy the light malty flavor it offers!

I would suggest this tea if you are new to Indian blacks (which I am). This will give you an idea if you need to go sweeter (Maybe a nimbu) or if you need to go more bitter with a straight Darjeeling. Maybe you need to stay about from Indian blacks and stick with the more sweet flavors in Chinese blacks.

I don’t particularly think I would like anything much more intense then this. I don’t like it as much as a nimbu, but I do like it more than some of the more bitter Darjeelings I have tried. Overall I would purchase this tea again but am also looking forward to experimenting with more assams.

Please give me some recommendations if you know of any particularly good assam teas!

I really enjoy this tea however I agree with some of the other postings about how the additives (popcorn/rice) almost overpowers the green leafs. I would purchase this at a cafe hands down but if I was going to purchase bulk I would probably look for another brand that has a stronger green tea flavor.

This is a full flavor with a taste of orange and chocolate. I am not really sure where the pu erh taste comes in….This seems much more like a black to me.
