330 Tasting Notes
Brought this into the office as my new morning tea. I am pleasantly surprised – the unbrewed tea is pretty unimpressive looking, tiny brownish nuggets that upon closer look are tiny curled bits of leaf. Really, it looks like faded Folger’s crystals, and after brewing sill looks like coffee grounds.
The tea is dark brown in color, and quite mild. I set it to brew and ran to the restroom, and by the time I got back to my desk I was a little afraid I had let it overbrew, but it was perfect.
I am happy my tourist tea isn’t half bad!

Farewell, old friend. You were a good office tea.
I seem to have breezed through this tin as my morning office tea, which means one mug of tea four days a week, occasionally two. It’s quite good as long as it’s not oversteeped, which is sometimes a problem at work :D Distractions abound.
Lucky for me, it’s a quiet morning, so my farewell cup is perfect.
Now to just actually remember to bring something to replace it tomorrow morning!
Good tea, but not a great work tea. It likes shorter steeping times, so if I get distracted while waiting for it to steep I have a bitter, astringent mess in my cup. However, I am starting to get to the bottom of the tin, so that’s a plus.
I can’t wait for spring. So tired of they grey skies and brown vegetation and cold weather!
We are having icy weather here in DFW, so I am working from home today, anticipating lots of tea drinking. I decided to give this a try – I got a few flavored samples from Adagio on my last order. I have been working through the caramel sample, but decided to go with this instead.
I want to like this, and it’s not bad, but it’s just not speaking to me. The flavor masks the base tea too much. I don’t know if that means it’s a weak base, or there’s just too much flavoring. Hrmph.
I went through Target’s tea aisle last night, and noticed this. Decided to try it. The fruit taste is noticeable, pretty tasty. I don’t really notice a “jolt” of energy any more than any other tea. Oh, marketing :) I never notice any “jolts” with any “energy” drinks though, with the exception of matcha.
Slightly chilly today, the high will be 57, and it’s currently 39. Definitely a lot warmer than the snow-buried northeast, though, thank goodness. But it’s a good day for tea! Oh, who am I kidding, it’s always a good day for tea.
Polishing off the last of this tin. I don’t know why this shows I drank it 1 time. I know I was drinking this regularly. Whatevs.
Can I go back to bed now?
From one of my Steepster boxes last year. Definitely veggie-ish. Dry, the leaves smelled a bit like milk oolong, but once brewed up, it just doesn’t have that taste or mouthfeel.
Very light, with a sweet after-taste.
Not bad, but not something I would seek out.
