drank Vanilla Oolong by DAVIDsTEA
41 tasting notes

This tea has been on my shopping list for the longest time and I somehow never seemed to get around to it…until today! I needed a David’sTea pick-me-up and I went straight for this sweet treat. The smell of the leaves is really nice – a hint of vanilla sweetness. Reminded me a bit of Buttered Rum.

I don’t think I made the water hot enough, so I felt like I missed out on the first few hot sips (if that makes sense). It reminds me very much of the Quangzhou Milk Oolong in the same buttery, creamy way, but with a vanilla follow-through. I’m not too sure where the orange/citrus taste is, but I don’t mind.

I’m happy it’s not too overpoweringly vanilla and I think it will be a great dessert tea – especially since it’s thicker than other teas and more satisfying.
