Dry leaf aroma: peppery, herbal, vegetal, slight sweetness.
Brewed tea aroma: stewed spinach, savoury-salty note
Brewed tea flavour has a thick mouthfeel with sweet molasses muscatel note. Peppery note from the aroma comes through. Note of raisins. Overall flavour is mild and washed-out.
Flavors: Muscatel, Pepper, Raisins
Aroma of dried dates and figs from the dry leaf.
Strong apricot flavour and sweetness in the brewed tea. Hint of spices.
Amazing floral bouquet on the lingering aftertaste on the second infusion at 4 minutes.
Flavors: Apricot, Dates, Fig, Floral
Faint aroma of green tea from the dry leaf. Black tea blend aroma in the brewed tea.
Good blend of black tea. The flavour is a bit weak but with a longer infusion, I would be concerned that the bitter note becomes more pronounced. This brew would benefit with some milk added and the package in which it came recommends this.
Holds up well with a splash of milk (semi-skimmed). The bitter note is balanced out with the creaminess of the milk and the tea could probably stand for a longer infusion.
Very vegetal in flavour- string beans and spinach. There is a harsh quick floral note in the immediate aftertaste When paired with a shortbread cookie, the sweetness allows the flavour to bloom into a matcha-like note.
