This reminds me of haribo strawberry sweets, but not in a very good way. It has a much stronger scent than it has flavour, and what it does have in flavour is artificial. I am not at all impressed, very average teabag.
Flavors: Artificial, Bitter, Strawberry
Preparation
This fruit tea does not stand out much from my other fruit teas. Having been bought as a souvenir it doesn’t need to, I suppose, but I was expecting more body in this. with the large chunks of fruit in them, I think the flavour depends on what chunk fits in your strainer at one scoop, making every cup slightly different. It does have a fun pink colour and nice light fruity smell.
Preparation
Got this tea as a gift from a Slovak friend, and I have to say he knows what kinds of tea I enjoy. This rooibos has strong spice notes at the forefront, almost cinnamon-y, even if there is no actual cinnamon it it, followed by flavours of nuts. Very nice, rich tea that makes me think of cake.
Flavors: Nuts, Spices
Preparation
Got this tea with breakfast in a café. It’s an enjoyable enough chai tea. I personally did not pick up on the chilli much, but there were tones of (ground) pepper to fortify the drink, possibly amplified by the hidden chilli? Has a slight sweetness to it, and is pretty mild on the tea front, not at all bitter or tannic.
Flavors: Pepper, Sweet
Preparation
When I brought this tea from Italy, it made my entire suitcase smell super sweet. It has a distinct candy scent that permeates from meters away, but most of this is lost when brewing, resulting in a slightly sweetened hibiscus tea with some hints of fruit.
Flavors: Candy, Hibiscus, Rosehips
Preparation
Am I biassed? Absolutely. Liquorice tea is a massive comfort drink for me, and this is a nice take on that. For a liquorice tea, it’s not particularly liquorice forward, but has a nice warm flavour packing it all together. To give a comparison that’s probably very specific to my part of the world, it is like eating speculaas while there is still leftover zwartwit in your mouth, it almost has that salmiak note to it.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Licorice Root, Nutmeg, Spices
Preparation
Got this as a sample from Bird and Blend, but I am finding not much special about this Rooibos. Would happily choose it if offered at a friends place, but would not buy it myself.
Flavors: Honey, Rooibos
