42 Tasting Notes

This is exactly what I needed. Toasty, flavorful, rich aroma… mmmm ahhh :) Really enjoying this tea. It has a sweet toasted nutty aroma: roasted almond, soy, peas, puffed rice, barley on the back notes even honey or caramel. At the same time it is light and refreshing, there is not bitterness or astringency. Just a delicious cup every way you look at it.

This is a Lovely tea. It is delicate and enticing from the moment you open the bag. The leaves are just Gorgeous: fine, silky, lustrous curls in a perfectly harmonious array of color. The scent of the dry leaf is wonderful too, I pick up floral and fruity notes. Tangerine, peach, sweet citrus. The liquor is well balanced with no bitterness or astringency. Its very soft and pleasantly delicious cup. I’m still getting great fruity notes with some flowers and honey on the background.
Wow the second cup is even stronger, fruitier and more vivid in its bouquet. Its lechee, its rose, its sugar and honey… with citrus notes. And again 0 bitterness or acidity. Delicious.
Third and fourth infusion are less floral and fruity with stronger woody, savory notes.
This is a lovely tea, I will definitely be ordering more.

Ordered a sample of this one in my last order and I must say I’m impressed.
I love dragonwell tea for its savory notes. This particular tea is very aromatic and satisfying with its sweet rice notes. The vegetal aromas are also very refreshing and it gives you a nice mineral tingle … that tingly, spicy sweetness in the mouthfeel. Its a light tea but is bursting with aroma and flavor, I am thoroughly enjoying this one. I made the second steeping stronger and it brought out the floral/vegital notes to the forefront. And with the tingly mouth feel I almost taste acidic fruit, like grape or honeydew melon. There is not much bitterness in it, even oversteeped. It a lovely cup, savory, aromatic and fun.

Got this one to try in my last TeaLyra order. The description sounded exactly like something I’ve been craving lately, and the tea did not disappoint. I usually prefer the stronger black teas, with rich flavor and malt. This tea, is very well balance, it is low in bitterness, Very aromatic and flavorful. The aroma is Rich! I smell honey, caramelized sugar, malt, and stone fruit like peaches and cherry. I had this tea with some tart dried cherries and it was just delicious. It has floral notes to it which come more pronounced with later steepings. But in general it is a delicious, aromatic brew. I’ve been drinking it all day today and even now (steeping 5-6?) I’m still getting a lovely nose from the cup sitting on my desk and its makes me smile, Ahhh Yuuum. I am really enjoying this one and it will definitely be one of the favorites on the list.

My goodness, I’m in love with this tea! I like it so much I don’t want to share with anyone;)
So yes, when you open the sealed packet there is a strong strawberry aroma. It is sweet, and creamy, full of buttery goodness. It smells like strawberry frosting or cake, but with floral notes. It is Rich and Delicious. I find the cream and berry to compliment each other, and while being strong they give the tea an interesting character. I also have to say that I do not like flavored teas, and that this one is different, its not your perfumed Teavana mix. Its more delicate, more tasteful and classy. Steeped, its much more mellow, it looses the overpowering aroma yet retains the notes of cream, berries, buttercream, honeysuckle, gardenia. The taste is fresh and not overly complicated. It leaves a bit of a mineral tingling, and a mouthwatering feel. Most likely because I’m now craving Strawberry Cake lol ;)
It is definitely a “desert” brew, but if you like rich, aromatic and vivid experience I would definitely recommend this one.

This is a wonderful tea. It is very aromatic and full flavored, wet leaves smell sweet, strong hint of burnt sugar. Very pleasant cup, its floral but also very creamy and smooth, I detect sweet hay notes, caramel, malt and honey. Rich and satisfying:)

I’m all out of my favorite teas, and finally got the order from Verdant in with some samples :)
This one was the first one up. The dry leaves smell fantastic, chocolaty and toasty. The first brew is full of Honey and rock sugar notes. Its very balanced, nice color, no bitterness or astringency even when brewed strong. Its a nice tea, not overly complicated, I can see myself drinking on daily basis.

Flavors: Burnt Sugar, Dates, Honey, Sweet Potatoes

My favorites are the first flushes-most of them are flavorful. I also order Darjeeling’s from silvertipstea and Barney

This is a lovely PuErh. It is very smooth, very dark, earthy, dry liquor with a very strong mouth watering feel, it has a nice thick body to it as well. I washed this one twice, both times the wash was dark in color, a bit dusty. As usual I went heavy handed on the tea lol;) The tea is almost black, there is no bitterness or astringency, it has a very classic PuErh profile, earthy, clay, forest and smooth thick, velvety body. I am on brew 4 after 2 washes and its still dark and rich. Its starting to open up into something more creamy, toasted, nutty. I think ill be going into tomorrow with this one:) it just keeps giving.

Sip .. wow. Sip, sip, sip…. Wow, Wow! I drank the cup so fast I didn’t even have a sec to think about the tasting notes lol It smells delicious, sweet and milky, buttery, corn, oats, peas, sweet grass… very natural and “organic”, refreshing in a very Satisfying way. I hate “artificial” tasting teas, so this one really hits my spot;) I added a bit of Jasmine green on the third steeping and its just great. I brewed it in a transparent gaiwan and the leaves are very appealing visually as well. Nice color and shape. I’m really enjoying this one.
