drank Spiced Apple Chai by Adagio Teas

AJRimmer Advent Tea #5
This is a nice spicy chai. I expected a little more of a baked apple flavor here, maybe with a bit of sweetness, but sadly there’s not much apple to be found. Nex time, I’m going to try this out with some sugar or honey and see if that enhances the flavor!

AJRimmer Advent Tea #4

I had this one yesterday and I don’t remember a ton about besides that it captured the pecan flavor pretty well. I remember enjoying this!

AJRimmer Advent tea #3
Unfortunately, this one was a bit of a miss. I mostly got toasted ricey genmaicha, and a little bit of cream but I can’t say I tasted any orange flavor. The genmaicha was nice, but unfortunately not the only thing this tea is supposed to be. I might try the rest of this iced and see if that brings out the creamsicle orange flavor any

Tea #2 from the AJRimmer advent!
I love anything even remotely Earl Grey and this was a nice delicate cream Earl Grey so I was a fan! Sadly it’s all gone now

Shae

If you like strawberry, their Gratitude Blend is so good!!

Shae

It’s a strawberry Earl Grey. Should have mentioned that. :)

Emilie

Omg I definitely need that!

AJRimmer

Yes, I’m so glad Shae introduced me to this blend! I had to acquire more for myself after I finished the bit she sent me.

drank Wild Raspberry by DAVIDsTEA

I saw both the flavor and the stevia in this blend and knew that it called for cold-brewing as opposed to a hot cup.

I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying this! It tastes like raspberry and hibiscus, which are perfectly refreshing flavors for the beautiful 70 and 80 degree weather we’re having lately. I do keep forgetting that this isn’t an herbal blend and theoretically has green tea in it, since the raspberry flavor is so strong. The upside to that is that the stevia flavor is also overpowered by the raspberry meaning this just ends up sweet, fruity, and refreshing

drank Cookie Dough Chai by 52teas

The first tea in my tea swap advent calendar so thoughtfully put together by AJRimmer!

This one is such an interesting idea! Impressively, I AM getting chocolate chip cookie dough from this! I can’t say I’m getting much chai, but I feel like that might overwhelm the flavor of the cookie dough anyway? Overall, not bad!

drank Maracuja Mango by DAVIDsTEA

Sipdown!

I cold-brewed the rest of this and it seems like it’s lost the candy like quality I was enjoying in the hot tea. Now it tastes much more like mango, and I’m actually tasting what I think is the passionfruit. It also has a lingering sweet taste that I can’t quite place, perhaps the blackberry leaf? I’m not too familiar with that flavor. Overall, not bad but I prefered it hot

drank Butterbeer by The NecessiTeas

Sample from vallhallow! This one smells like root beer and tastes like butterscotch and root beer mixed together. The flavor wasn’t super strong while hot, but I let part of this cup get cool and it was much stronger! I think this is one that could work well with milk, so I might add some oatmilk when I brew up the rest of this sample

I just tried to make an order from NecessiTeas because they have so many yummy sounding teas and they are out of stock of so many things on their website :(

vallhallow

Yeah, I follow Necessiteas on instagram just to ensure I know when she announces restocks in her stories. Its about once a month and only a few teas at a time from what I have seen in the last few months.

getanzt

Good to know, thanks vallhallow!

Bio

I’ve lived in Hawaii, Mississippi, Colorado, Maryland, Texas, California, and Oklahoma. I’m just waiting to see where we end up next!

My preferences are towards black and oolong teas but I love trying new and/or weird teas! I’m finally learning to enjoy green tea.

We recently moved to about 6500 feet above sea level and I’m still trying to get the hang of the lower boiling point! Any tips would be appreciated :)

I really love swapping, so if anything in my cupboard catches your eye, please let me know!
