The scent of coconut and banana wafting from this cup promises for something wonderful.

I kept pulling out this sample from keychange’s swap envelope and staring at it the last few days, because I deleted our message and forgot what all she sent. This one was a mystery and today it finally hit me that it was this tea.

Both the banana and coconut are apparent, yet not overwhelming. True to Butiki style. I’m also thrilled the base is PTA.

This is a sad sipdown this morning. This tea has grown more and more on me. I will definitely be picking up more. Now I’m sitting down with my delicious oatmeal and maple syrup and this awesome tea. I leave in less than a week for Jamaica and I need to focus on all the things I have to get done for school.

This one has a lot going on, but the Laoshan Black shines through. When I saw pu’erh in the description I was concerned. Those chocolate notes I love are clearly there, and the oolong is also apparent. This tea melds well together.

I think I would be open to exploring more Darjeelings. This one is similar to the Puttabong one I had a while back. There’s a hay-like quality with some underlying flavours that are just out of reach. There’s a subtle hint of nuttiness, with a touch of astringency. Not an astringency I’m used to in most black teas though. I’d be open to trying this one again. Or other Darjeelings. The more I sip away, the more I am growing to enjoy this tea.

Sil was awesome enough to send along more of this since the first sample was banana-contaminated. Delicious, but not what it was supposed to be.

This is a creamy delicious tea. The black base works great with the cream. And the creaminess is not hard to find at all. Definitely a great tea. I’m not so sure if I need it in my cupboard, but I wouldn’t say no to a cup.

The rhubarb comes through clearly here, and the base complements nicely. The strawberry gets lost in the rhubarb a bit, but it’s there in the background. A lovely tea to add to my French tea tastings.

This one came my way in a surprise envelope from Sil. Thanks!

I steeped this below boiling. I got preoccupied actually, so the water was nice and cool. I’m not getting any astringency here, but the smell is far better than the actual taste. The taste seems watered down, but I should have added more leaf, since my mug is oversized. There is a hint of soft spiciness and a touch of nuttiness.

I also spent the last hour worrying about the feedback on my albatross research, because three other classmates received their feedback last night, but my prof just emailed me and said it was all good and looked professional.

I am going through this buttery delight quite quickly. Between this and Banana & Cream I’ll be placing another matcha order at any moment. I cannot get over the butteriness of this one. The scent, the flavour. Butteriness itself doesn’t seem overly appealing to me, but in vanilla cookie tea form it just works. I’m so impressed, and all with the delicate flavouring.

I threw out my knee this morning dancing (XD) and now have it wrapped and iced.
