110 Tasting Notes

This was in a tea swap I got from my Tea Group in town, from someone who isn’t fond of fruity teas. I have to say, though, that it definitely found a a good home with me this morning during breakfast. This one was smelled lovely at the first breath in, citrus and beautiful. I love the green and citrus flavor of this, and I back up my roommates vote that this should be stocked forever in my house.

It has a delightfully cherry scent, and the flavor is very earthy. It’s not an ultimate favorite but I’d never see cause to turn down a cup of it.

If you don’t mind the suggestion, you might want to try 2g of leaf steeped in 4oz boiling water for 30 sec. Hope that helps bump up your rating!:)

This has a gorgeous smell every time you bring your nose near it. Heavenly lemongrass, and then you part your lips for a robust burst of subtle flavors. Very green, soft, and refreshing. I really like this one.

This is gorgeous and light. The black is faint and the mango has just enough natural, general flavor to make it feel like a splendid treat to oneself. Definitely one I’d recommend.

This one is nice enough. I steep it forever. I think my continual beef with it is that it can’t deliver the warm, soft gingerbread cookie texture and flavor and I keep having to remind myself it is tea. It’s a very mellow and gentle ginger-y flavor, and the spice gives it a kick. I don’t drink it with sugar or honey, simply boiled and cooled for a short time. It does come off sweet in a few sips without being sugary all on its own.

This is a wonderful Christmas blend. I’m having it tonight steeped in a pretty normal little tea or coffee mug, to take off the edge of being so far from home and from my normal holidays celebrations. It’s sweet and earthy and the spice hits just right. (Which I really, really wasn’t expecting, because I remember disliking this Celestial Christmas blend a lot last year.)

This was a rather nice, smooth flavor. I steeped it pretty much all day in a carafe that I carry around while working. It’s not the most amazing green tea, given that I’m living in Korea right now, but it was a good average green tea.

Not exciting, not terrible. It’s a pretty middle of the road blend that I probably won’t get a whole lot more of. But it was not bad. It’s just not what I had in mind when seeking out Christmas blends.

It definitely doesn’t taste like Christmas, but nice all the same.

I really like this one, but it can not be steeped for a long time. It’s perfect in the first few minutes, but if you leave the bag in the ginger will become too aggressive.
