I said that this would taste better as a tea lemonade, and it does! In any case, I don’t have any more of this tea, because it was only a 5g sample this time.

Smells and tastes like a nectarine. Not much more to say. I think it’s a little too sweet, to be honest. It might have tasted better as an iced tea rather than prepared hot. This is the first white tea I’ve ever reviewed.

Flavors: Fruity, Sweet

drank English Toffee by DAVIDsTEA

The flavour of this tea is very subtle, and far weaker than the smell of the tea steeping would indicate. I tried oversteeping my tea leaves to see if the flavour could be strengthened, but that didn’t yield any results. If your water is too hot, it’s hard to taste any toffee; I let my second cup cool naturally before drinking; I added milk to my third cup to speed things along. This is not a bad tea, but it falls short in comparison to others I’ve tried.

Flavors: Toffee

I went in-store for #SteepYear, and was given a choice between Mom’s Apple Pie and Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait. I know that I’m not fond of apple flavour in my teas, so I opted for the latter. Hmm…I was asked if I wanted it sweetened or unsweetened, and I said no to sweetener, but I should have said yes. After taking a few sips of my drink while walking back to the office, I made the following changes in my work kitchen: a) added one packet of Equal and stirred, b) added two jumbo ice cubes to transform this into a sweet iced tea. After that, the rest of my drink was more enjoyable. If I had more of this tea, I would try it as a tea lemonade next time.

I used to buy this tea from Starbucks, and was quite sad when they stopped carrying it in-store. Every now and then, while I’m travelling, I will find a teabag of this type next to the kettle in my hotel room. I hoard them. The loose leaf tea is better, but this tea even tastes good in tea bags. It’s simply great, green tea.

drank Vanilla Matcha by DAVIDsTEA

1/3 in a Matcha Single Serves package that I bought. This is definitely not the best matcha I’ve tasted! I had bad experiences with the Mint Matcha and Mocha Matcha too. I wasn’t expecting much from this packet, and somehow I was still disappointed. In the end, I spooned an extra teaspoon of pure Japanese green tea matcha into my cup, and increased the amount of water I used. The pure matcha somewhat masked the strange and unpleasant taste of this Vanilla Matcha mix.

drank Mocha Matcha by DAVIDsTEA

1/3 in a Matcha Single Serves package that I bought. This is definitely not the best matcha I’ve tasted! This is my second experience with a drink from DAVIDsTEA combining both tea and coffee flavours (the other was Jumpy Monkey, a tea blend including coffee beans) and I’ve concluded that never again shall the two flavours mix against my taste buds. This packet is just…gross.

You’re most likely to find: Black/Green/Oolong Teas. Caramel. Chocolate. Cream.

I am also tempted by: Flowers. Comparisons to alcohol. Berries.

Despite the above, I generally dislike herbal teas and fruit infusions.

Coffee flavours do not belong in tea. If I want coffee, I will go to Starbucks.
