I have always been curious about Steeped Tea. An acquaintance of mine sells it, but I didn’t really want to buy it from her just in case I didn’t like it, because then I would feel like I would have to continue buying from her, even if I didn’t like the tea. I have also thought about being a consultant. So many of my friends are into the “sell from home” type of thing….maybe I should give it a try. So I guess I needed to try the tea to see if I was really interested. And then years went by and I never got around to sampling some of the tea.
A couple of weeks ago, I went to a trade/craft sale and there was a lady selling this. I asked her what her fav black tea and she suggested this one. I thought, here’s my chance to try this company, and I like earl grey generally, so I will give it a shot.
On to the tea….the bergamot is a little strong in this blend. There is a hint of vanilla but not “creamy” enough in my opinion. The base seems to be a tad astringent but maybe I should lower the temp next time I brew.
Overall, I like the cream earl grey from Zen tea and the blend from my local tea shop more than this offering.
The price point of $10/bag is a little too high to pay (in my opinion). But maybe that was just what this particular lady was selling it for, I’m not sure what price they usually are.

I will have to try the other tea that I bought from the company, but I think I will pass on becoming a consultant for this company…..maybe I should sell my own hand crafted items instead!

That was my overall impression. Okay tea, but too high a price point for what you get.

I have only tried one tea from this company, coco-sweet sencha. I loved it and am getting some for myself. I do want to try more of their teas, but I wish I could try more without hosting a party and all that jazz.

I was thinking it was like Tupperware or Pampered Chef – you could find a consultant online to buy from without a party.

I am not even sure how it works online. I have never even looked at their website actually!

The thing I find with steeped tea is that its more cost effective per gram when you order 100g vs 50g. Many teas are around $10/50g but then about $17/100g. It really makes it costly to try new teas. I already find 50g a lot to commit to, never mind 100g…

I don’t like home selling parties in general, so I have a consultant I found online and I just shoot her a facebook message every time I want to buy some tea, and pick it up at her house.

Hello,
I am a nurse. I have numerous hobbies: reading, crocheting, crafting, card making, scrapbooking, photography, shopping, and of course drinking TEA!

I started drinking loose leaf tea in Dec. 2010 when I went into a DavidsTea for the first time and have been hooked ever since! My favourite is probably white tea, but I also love black and oolong. I also like a nice relaxing rooibos or herbal in the evening. On Sundays, I like to treat myself and make a tea latte.

My favourite flavours are nutty, vanilla, chocolate, jasmine, tropical, fruity, earl grey.
My dislikes are lavender, rose, hibiscus, banana, and straight green or overly vegetal teas.

I am admittedly fairly generous in my rating scale. Most of my teas I rate at 90 and above, and would re-stock these teas.
Anything under 90 I probably wouldn’t re-stock unless I found a great price.
