Great tea to kick off the Great Canadian Travelling Tea Box! Thanks Shezza!
It isn’t as “coffee like” as I thought it was going to be which is good for me because I’m not a big fan of coffee. The chocolate is rich, not that “waxy”, cheap chocolate. The cherry is in the background but that’s ok. Delicious cuppa
Preparation
Life has been super crazy here between mini-holidays, going back to work, finding daycare, and dealing with a sick family member! I have really only been drinking 1 cup of tea in the morning and that’s it :(
Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the resteep today of this tea.
I used 9 pearls today
Preparation
Sipdown
I really enjoyed this delicious, malty, cocoa, bready tea.
I got 4 excellent cups of this from just 1 tsp of leaf steeping western style @ 3,3.5,3.5,4 minutes
I am not sure what the difference is between the regular laoshan black but I thoroughly enjoyed this and would order it again
Thanks to Teavivre for providing this sample!
I used the whole sample for this brew.
This tea was delicious and so aromatic. The leaves are long and twisted.
Notes of honey and stone fruit were the most prominent for me. It is warming and leaves a sweet, lingering taste. Delicious
This will be on the order list next time I place one!
Preparation
Thank you to Angel at Teavivre for these samples
I didn’t realize that I had sampled this tea already!
I hope I have this in the correct listing
This was a smooth, fresh green oolong. It is buttery and vegetal but not overwhelmingly so. The resteep seems to be creamier and even more delicious
Preparation
Thank you for the samples Angel at Teavivre!
With the name “charcoal baked” I was expecting something really smokey and “heavy”. This roasted oolong was smoother and sweeter than I was expecting. It isn’t as roasted tasting as I was expecting either. These are all good things because I found this tea to be very enjoyable. The first steep had mineral notes which decreased a little in the resteep.
The brewing parameters suggest 6 minutes which I thought was a little long but I went with it anyway since they have never steered me wrong yet! I think the mineral notes might not be as strong if brewed a little shorter though, or maybe a rinse.
