I love this tea with a smidgen of brown crystal sugar. It really brings out the plum flavour. The cheesecake and brandy have lost most of their spunk, but are still there in the background. I am actually going to increase this rating a little (from 92) because this is probably my all time favourite plum tea.

drank Caramel Apple by Butiki Teas

This tea has lost quite a bit of the apple flavour, a little bit of the caramel is still here but not as good as it used to be :(. I still really enjoy this oolong base though and it resteeps well

This is one of the free samples that I chose with my Black Friday order so that you Teavivre! I really enjoy Keemun teas, and this one is no exception. The snails are so pretty, dark and all curled up. I like watching them unfurl in my Steeper. The brewed tea is fairly dark.

The aroma is of baked sweet potatoes and it also translates into the taste as well. The mouthfeel is smooth with a slightly sweet aftertaste.

This tea is fairly expensive and there are other Teavivre Keemuns that I enjoy more than this offering, so it won’t become part of my permanent cupboard but I am happy to have tried it and certainly would not refuse a cuppa.

I have drank this a couple of times this last week but finally felt well enough to actually taste it! I still really enjoy this tea. And I feel that the flavour has held up fairly well.

I am still loving this tea. Tonight, I used my Bodum press and it worked really well. I threw in a splash of milk because what the heck, I like it best this way!

950 notes!
This is always a pleasure to drink, one of my favourite teas. I think this is from August 2014 and it is losing its flavour but you better believe I will drink every last drop of this beautiful tea.

I am so jealous of all of you guys that got to have Butiki when it was still open. So many amazing teas that I can only dream of trying…

Evol Ving Ness

That said though, I can enjoy them in my imagination and my imagination is pretty vivid.

tigress_al

Indeed, Butiki is sadly missed :(
I would swap some teas, but they are already so old, I feel it wouldn’t be fair to you or the tea!

Sipdown. I rather enjoyed this tea, especially with lemon, ginger, and honey added while I have been sick. Hopefully I will actually be able to taste my tea again soon.

Evol Ving Ness

I hope you are starting to feel better. So good to have all the ingredients on hand to comfort oneself while shaking off whatever slows us down.

Thank you Evol Ving Ness!

The smell of this tisane is so good. It does help me feel better, so it does what it’s supposed to.
Blah I hate being sick :(

I have a cold…again :(.
This tea is one of my go to teas when I am sick. I tried it bare and I found it fairly enjoyable. The pear is sweet and the ginger adds that spice that makes a good combination. But where did the white tea go? I think there was only 2 leaves in the infuser. That’s an expensive price tag for a fruit tea.

When I am sick, I make a concoction of honey, lemon, and ginger root and add it to this tea. It tastes great and helps me feel better.

Exactly why I don’t drink white tea. Most of those teas are blended with inexpensive fruit to create a pricey blend. In my opinion, I’d rather stick with a herbal

tigress_al

Unfortunately for me, white tea is a favourite of mine. And DAVIDsTEA is notorious for white blends with little actual tea. $$$

Feel better.

Thanks Evol Ving Ness

I totally hear your frustration, tigress_al :(

drank Berry White by DAVIDsTEA

I am surprised that there isn’t higher reviews for this tea. It is fairly light, but it’s a white tea. I thought it tasted fairly decent and there wasn’t any nasty stevia (I don’t think).

Chilled, this tea is even better. It might even be better cold brewed.

Hoooray for no nasty stevia. Why oh why do the tea companies add that stuff?

tigress_al

I know hey!

Bio

Hello,
I am a nurse. I have numerous hobbies: reading, crocheting, crafting, card making, scrapbooking, photography, shopping, and of course drinking TEA!

I started drinking loose leaf tea in Dec. 2010 when I went into a DavidsTea for the first time and have been hooked ever since! My favourite is probably white tea, but I also love black and oolong. I also like a nice relaxing rooibos or herbal in the evening. On Sundays, I like to treat myself and make a tea latte.

My favourite flavours are nutty, vanilla, chocolate, jasmine, tropical, fruity, earl grey.
My dislikes are lavender, rose, hibiscus, banana, and straight green or overly vegetal teas.

I am admittedly fairly generous in my rating scale. Most of my teas I rate at 90 and above, and would re-stock these teas.
Anything under 90 I probably wouldn’t re-stock unless I found a great price.
