Another tea from my Easter hoppitea package. It’s light. Nice coconut undertones to this one. Added some of David’s tea Cocomama Lime to it. Made quite a nice treat. You put the lime in the…. :)

Tried this on a suggestion of my wife. Overall this is pretty tasty tea. Reminds me a lot of Lipton’s peach ice tea that you buy in the store….minus the sweetness. Not bad for a three dollar box of tea.

I wish our selection of grocery-store Stash was bigger here in the Midwest; we see three, four flavors tops on the shelves here.

Jillian

I’m rather fond of this one too – it isn’t half-bad iced IMO.

The DJBooth

Ha ha @jillian my wife and I actually said that when we were trying that.

Starting off the day with Dr. Oz and Margaret. Another Tea that fairyfly sent me in my Hoppitea basket. This is my second time trying a selection from the garden. It’s bright has that muscatel/nutty flavor that is characteristic to Darjeeling. Darjeeling alway reminds me of fall which is my favorite season. Very good

teawing

and my favorite season as well! currently drinking some darjeeling chai at the moment…

drank Jalapeno Tea! by Man Teas

I received this in my Hoppitea package. I just haven’t logged it yet. I was hesitant at first to try it wondering how Jalapeno and black tea would mix. The dry leaves smell like Jalapeno. In the cup it’s not too hot as I was expecting. It tastes more like green pepper. It’s not bad though, and mixing it with a little Lapsang……yum!

Cofftea

WHEW! SO glad I never got this. LOVE the idea of jalapeno, but ABSOLUTELY LOATHE green pepper.

Starting off the day with this one in my Bodum french press. I think this is a great way to brew this one since the assam pellets are so small. I think I used just a bit too much tea because it is quite strong! Not bitter though. I really love the maltiness of one.

Heyes

Yay! Another french presser!

teawing

Huzzah, make it three french pressers!

The DJBooth

I use a strainer too but for blacks and tightly rolled oolongs like Ti Kuan Yin I don’t think it can be beat.

drank Cocomama Lime by DAVIDsTEA

Another tea that I’m trying from my Hoppitea package from Fairyfli. Probably the first tea that I’ve tried that really smells like keylime pie. The aroma is marvelous. I am really liking this tea. The lime tartness is great but not overpowering. The black tea is good too. I can’t really taste coconut here but I can tell that it mellows out the lime. This is very tasty! This might be one I have to add the the cupboard when I go on my next tea spree. :)

This is another tea that I recieved in my Hoppitea basket if you will from Fairyfli. So I love mint. I like gunpowder. I love Pu-Erh. Mix them all together and….meh! I not awesome…it’s not terrible either. The combination just make for a little bit of a muddy flavor. I’m glad I got the chance to try this tea.

drank Pink Flamingo by DAVIDsTEA

This is the first tea I’m trying from my Hoppitea package from Fairyfli and my first sample from David’s Teas. The scent of this tea is awesome! Smell just like you opened up a can of Squirt. Brewing produced a dark purple liquor almost grape Koolaid. First tried it hot. Reminds me a bit of Tazo Passion. Mostly due to the hibiscus and lemongrass. Then I threw it over ice with a little honey. Yum!! I think that might be something I could convince my daughter to drink instead of sugary offerings. I would definitely add this one to the permanent collection.

drank Beer Tea by Man Teas

So I was ecstatic when a friend told me this was reblended. I’ve been wanting to try it for a while now. I’m an avid beer enthusiast. So I had to buy it. It was also the first mail that came to the new place :) So I opened up the package and a very strong aroma comes out of the pouch. However it’s not one of beer. It’s more like wiskey. So brewed it five minutes. Tastes….like whiskey. So it doesn’t really taste like beer to me, but the fact that a tea tastes like whiskey or another alcoholic beverage is brilliant in my opinion. I will continue to enjoy this and maybe combine it with a little Glenlivet.

Cofftea

So disappointed this won’t be permanent.

Tommy Toadman

It does kinda smell like whiskey but it does have slight beer taste to me but its the taste of a dark/black beer like a Michelobe Porter i love a dark beer so this is perfect, i like it alot. Thank You!

Still finishing this one from my sweetea package from Ellen. I have this in my station stash. I can not buy more tea until I diminish the stash according to my future bride. So this and a bunch of samples I have are at the radio station. Straight black tea. Has an amber liquor like a good Assam. It’s good malty maybe even a little grainy like a wheat taste to it.

Michelle Butler Hallett

Milima Estate is goooooood. I drank a lot of it once when I couldn’t get any Assam. It’s a bit cleaner than Assam, though. I like your description of it as “grainy.”

Some of the Kenya teas are truly beautiful. This is one of them.
