From Yunnan Sourcing

Ba Da Mountain First Flush of Spring 2015 tea leaves were picked and processed into mao cha (loose leaf raw pu-erh tea) and then aged for 5 years in Menghai County of Xishuangbanna before being pressed in March 2020.

The storage condition in Menghai was clean with a moderate amount of humidity (wetter than Kunming, but not as wet as Guangdong) giving the tea a nice rounded lightly aged taste!

This is strong tea with bitterness and even more astringency! The 5 years of aging prior to pressing has taken some of the edge off, and imparted a fruity thick mineral sweetness. We recommend brewing with short steeps at the beginning to gradually coax out the more subtle aspects of this wonderful tea!
