From Yunnan Sourcing

An incredibly fantastic raw Pu-erh made from Wild Pu-erh treeleaves that have a dark purple color. This 野生茶 (Wild Tea) is naturally dark in color, and is heavy in anti-oxidants and catechins.

The quality of the leaves and the meticulous processing ensures excellent storage and aging potential. If you want to try an aged version of the exact same tea we encourage you to try the classic 2005 production. The infused liquor is golden and is almostcompletely without bitterness. There is strong full taste in the mouth and a warm stimulating feel in the mouth and body after drinking this tea.

This tea brick is composed of entirely spring 2010 raw material from the exact same area as the 2005 and 2008 production. This year Yunnan Sourcing is proud to be the exclusive producer and distributor of this very special tea! We have produced just 300 bricks in total! This years production has been hand-stamped with the year “2010” to help us and you differentiate it from previous years.

How can this tea be so good at such a young age? It’s like when you meet a young person who is mature beyond her years—an old soul. The first 30-second infusion blew me away with its sweetness and depth. After that the camphor and earthiness emerged to create a truly heady elixir. I probably could have steeped this tea 20 times with little reduction in flavor. I actually saved the leaves over night and started up again in the morning. I’ll most likely buy a brick to drink now and one to age because I doubt I’ll be able to resist chipping away at it.
