Imperial Feng Qing Dian Hong Black Tea of Yunnan * Spring 2015
This is the classic recipe of light fermentation black tea that has been produced by the Feng Qing tea factory for decades. It is hand-processed at each stage and isn’t rolled by machines so the leaf shape is well preserved and un-broken. The brewed liquor is a golden orange that is incredibly smooth and can be infused more than any black tea I have ever tasted. Both a beautiful tea and a tasty tea.

On the palate very similar to nose, slight allspice with Assam tea quality also. Some of the flavors were quite delicate. Not a big and rich tea, but very nice
Inky and rich. This is a delicious and aromatic Yunnan black tea that oozes light brown liquor. The fragrance is full of malt and caramel with allusions to cocoa or carob. This isn’t super complex, but the richness does pull me in more so than other similar Yunnan teas (like pure bud bi luo chun).

So same brewing parameter as yesterday, but even tho, I brewed this heavily, WARRIOR STYLE… this tea is ‘all about that bass’ :) It’s a very nice bassey Yunnan black tea, not any off taste nor fancy flavors, it just taste like yunnan black and has the texture of heavy cream.
