From Ya-Ya House of Excellent Teas

At some stage along the aging process, the typical ‘ripe’ flavor of shu pu-erh mellows and the teas taste much more like an aged raw pu-erh. Over time, all undesirable flavors fade out and the essence of the tea is intensified. This tea has reached that stage after 20 years of dry storage in Taiwan. While it doesn’t completely lose its ripe flavor, it is very much in the background and adds a beautiful dimensionality to this exceptional pu-erh.
