Again part of the sampler from Wild Orchid Teas—aroma of dry leaves was definitely of strawberries. Labeled as “naturally flavored” but no strawberries (dried or otherwise) are to be found in the blend. Prepared as recommended. Tea was pleasant at the outset with a sweet, fruity flavor. However, a strange, strong metallic flavor/aftertaste developed as the tea cooled. Will not be repeating the experience.

Could it be hibiscus? That has a metallic taste for me.

PattiM

This did not taste like hibiscus, which I generally can tolerate pretty well. More like gunmetal. I’m sometimes concerned about the freshness of the leaf when trying samplers. Maybe that’s an issue here.
