A blend of Yunnan raw Puer, sent to a smokehouse in Tongmuguan village to be pine smoked by a veteran Lapsang smoker. The three day smoking process occurs at temperatures from 100C to 120C in an old style Lapsang smokehouse.
A natural fit for cigar lovers and Scotch whisky fanatics who want tea in the morning, but this tea is a surprise that will likely garner even fans who are wary of smoke as well.
Smoked citrus and tobacco aromas with a punch of raw Puer with a returning huigan (lasting sweetness in the mouth).
Each mini is ~7g.
FOR AGING, WE RECOMMEND THAT SMOKED TEAS BE SEALED AND SEPARATED FROM OTHER TEAS, AS THE FRESH SMOKE WILL PASS ALONG TO THE TEAS NEXT TO IT. OR YOU CAN KEEP THEM WITH YOUR CIGARS.
Fun little dragonball. Quite green and planty, with a smoke profile approaching burning cigarette levels. More enjoyable than that sounds — it was a hoot observing the pings and bitters and ash darting around. Good body throughout, but especially in the last stages when steeps started taking 3-5 minutes — the body got very luscious, with a balanced flavor profile once the green and smoke had toned down.

After nearly a month in customs, my last W2T order has FINALLY arrived and I am in pure, unadulterated smoked tea heaven!! Over the next week I will be slowly working my way through sampling each of these cakes and minis.
I’ve been the most excited for 2023 Firebat since Pyrolad, W2T’s other smoked sheng, has quickly become a favourite of mine. I’ve just started sipping through this mini and it’s already blowing my mind; deliciously smoky with a pleasant citrus bite!!
