A return of a crowd favorite. Sichuan province doesn’t have quite the reputation of other provinces for green tea, but the main reason for this is because the famous provinces go to Sichuan, buy their tea, mark it up and sell it as their own. (This is also true of Guizhou, see the next tea) Most of my best Sichuan and Guizhou tea farmer’s largest customers are other green tea producers in Anhui, Zhejiang and other provinces. I’ve never seen so many Zhejiang license plates as on this spring’s road trip through Sichuan and Guizhou. Maybe next year I will commission a Guizhou “longjing” to drive this point home. Enough green tea gossip, this is a really wonderful fresh and spunky green tea, thick with furry buds.
