This 357g cake has been aging for just over ten years. While Tiandiren’s shu pu’er is known for its deep elderberry notes and sweet vanilla aftertaste, the careful blending and decade of aging on this cake give it a particularly crisp and perfectly clean flavor, no matter how the tea is steeped.

For Chinese New Year, Wang Yanxin resolved to go through her entire collection and pick out teas to release after years of aging. She is offering this tea at the same price she acquired it for, adding markup for neither age nor storage. This makes this tea a fantastic deal. Her early support in the founding years of Tiandiren make her invested in the workshop’s success like she is in her very own Yu Lu Yan Cha….

Unlike the 2002 Yingxang which was soft, gentle and all earth, this leaf is tart and vocal, expressing sandal wood and dried fruit.
