#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #214 overall / Tea #38 for May
Wednesday 5/26 — Verdant Tea Spring Tieguanyin 2020 25g packet. I like this tea, it was so pleasant as two cold brew pitchers (not at once, just to use up the packet). It has a light floral taste which is okay considering I’m not generally a floral person. I might pass the other packets I have of this tea into the next TTB or swaps with other tea people just because I have soooo many other teas to go through.

Wonderful aroma. It smells like orchids, sugar, and maybe a little honey. The taste was similar to the smell with maybe a few green vegetable notes and a few mineral notes. medium low caffiene. Seemed to have fair amount of theanine.

Sampled Spring 2017. The tea was pretty green, it was not especially fragrant. My issue with this tea was a very thin body that steeped out exceptionally quickly. There was very little depth in flavor. It did posses that souring tounge feel I’ve had with
Other tgy but really, it was a one trick pony. And that trick lasted about a steep or two. The tea was flavorless in four or five steeps.

This tea has a sweet flavor but has a vegetal taste in later steepings. Would definetly recommend

Light honey, golden color. Sweet, floral, grass taste during the first steeps. Later steepps bring out a seaweed, vegetable flavor. Smooth, creamy texture. I would drink this tea again.

the color is pretty light golden, and not that much bitter. I would love if it is bitter. the color is more dark from light golden to light honey color.

An enjoyable cup!

This tea has been steeped several times, and has given up a consistently light green/silvery liquor with a refreshing floral edge – much like jasmine or orchid. There’s something in the body that reminds me of a delicious custard, making the cup very satisfying.

There’s much to love in this tea, and I’d order some now, but I just checked, and there’s such a limited stock (sample size only) that I’ll have to wait.

I had this tea yesterday and found it to be a very high quality Tie Guan Yin. It was a bit buttery with good floral notes that lasted through a few infusions. Unfortunately , I can’t remember much of the details but I do remember it being really good.
