The first steep is a bit weak, but promising. The liquid is a dark yellow with a strong floral scent. The flavor is very floral and I can definitely taste the lilac note, along with a bit of buttery-ness and cinnamon. Nice mouthfeel on this oolong as well! I’d consider this a decent everyday oolong.

Studying for my last midterm tonight, and so relieved that they’re almost over. The professor said our test tomorrow won’t even take the whole class period (75 minutes), so that’s promising as well. :)

Good luck, Claire!

Thank you both! The exam covers 18th century literature and a few historical points.

Gotta love that “almost done” feeling when it comes to exams. Good luck!

There used to be a lilac tree in my front yard in Maryland. When I was young my mother would take me out there and we would pick lilacs to bring inside to put in a vase. For the life of me, this takes me back to those happy childhood memories. It is comforting and familiar and the lilac perfume is absolutely intoxicating and tasty. It is warm and rounded and has a way of making one feel good. This is the type of experience that every tea drinker should have. I recommend it wholeheartedly; you will not be disappointed.

Tea #34 from Considering a new TTB
This is quite a unique oolong, I really enjoyed it. It starts out with a heavy floral flavor and ends with a spicy note that I can’t quite place. I’m not sure I’ve come across a spicy note in an oolong before, which is what made it really stand out to me. I’ll have to pick some of this up in the future since I can’t drink most spiced teas this is a great option for me.
