An extremely well-made tea, with an inviting aroma and a fresh, complex cup. The beautiful leaf sets have an abundance of tips, characteristic of an extra-fine picking. So far the first flush season has been challenging. The early release and special production of this tea sparked fierce bidding among competition, and we are pleased to have secured this special offering.

Really exciting, I finished my sample of this too! I was about to pour it into a tiny bag when I realized it said 2-3 tsp per 8 oz of water, so I used the rest up for my 12 oz mug, yay!
Today to me this tastes like lemon and jasmine, and almost tastes more like a white tea than it does a black tea. If it wasn’t for that end note that screams Darjeeling black tea, I’d be fooled.
It’s nice but like I’ve probably said 283759 other times on notes, second flushes are my thing.
I am currently going through all my tea trying to figure out where all of it is. Right now I have no idea where a $20 bag of oolong is so that’s fun. But I haven’t gone to my rolly drawer cart yet so I’m thinking it’s in there. Yay.
Sometimes you can’t escape it — you’re in a Darjeeling mood. “I’d like a cup of black tea, but not too heavy, and I don’t want milk, and I’d like the flavor to be subtle but wonderful.” This tea does all of that, with a surprising extra flair that won me over as soon as I inhaled the brewed liquor vapors. It had a faint flavor — not lingering on the palate — almost like jasmine tea if you could take all the ponderous cloying qualities of jasmine away. Nothing too fancy, but of the very highest quality. Very smooth, soft drinking.
Lol it amuses me when people can’t find their tea…. You don’t wanna know how I picture kittenna and indigoblooms houses lol
I love a fellow person who doesn’t freak at paying 20 bucks for a bag of oolong! :D
I never thought I’d be that person, but I’d happily pay $20 for 50g of my favorite oolong.
Sil – consider that it’s not my house, it’s my ROOM… hahahaha. It looks a little crazy, to be honest! I stash it all in cardboard boxes under my desk… :D
