Chai-tea is the national drink of India. It is gradually gaining popularity in the UK. Usually it is based around an Indian black tea but this tea is more unusual and subtle. Usually you can drink black Chai-tea with a small amount of milk but with this green tea it’s better without. This is a truly delicate and elegant, although spicy, type of tea. The Indian green tea leaves are combined with cloves and mint to give this green Chai its wonderful fresh aroma. Cardamom seeds, ginger, black pepper and cinnamon give it its spicy taste and it is just as flavoursome hot or cold. Brew for 2-3 minutes using water at a temperature of 75-80C.
