From Twinings

From English country gardens to ancient Turkish palaces, there’s nothing like the romance and style of a rose. We think the taste and aroma are special, too.

That’s why we’ve blended the elegant fragrance of rose with a light, refreshing black tea. Make a cup, take a moment and prepare to be wooed. We’ve only made a limited number of Rose Garden, so try it soon, before it’s gone!

As I am an addicted tea lover of very different kinds, brands and blends, I must admit that my preference goes to the smoky tasting teas of Twinings which appear suddenly…and if you like it or not the best ones dissappear immediately as they appeared…unannounced!!
Such as the predessesor of this one here which was a top rating one , namely Rose Pouchong (tea bags of Twinings)
I hate such a policy of one of the oldest Tea producers of the world (if not the oldest?)

Teasmoker

As I live abroad (as British people tend to say) it is hard to get the ‘golden labeled’ Twining products and even the limited versions of Twinings in Belgium (therefore you need to shop in the Stonemanor shops around Brussels!!

I like rose tea a whole lot, and this is nicely perfume-y. I would like it if the black tea here were slightly more assertive, but I’d buy this again. I saw a post on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/twiningsteauk/posts/381403215276096) saying this is the same blend as Twinings Rose Pouchong, though I remember the tea in the Rose Pouchong as tasting stronger – but maybe I am misremembering?

Office Water Tea This smells very nice and rosy as soon as you open the bag! Steeping, the scent is rose, but not overwhelmingly flowery and floral. The taste follows suit. It is a gentle rose flavor, not too over the top at all. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is scared of rose teas or has had bad experiences in the past.

i usually hate twinnings tea because i always found it weak. But this is the first twinning tea i’ve tried in 1.5 yr and it’s fantastic. Its a balanced rose flavour that is perfect for my palate. I adore rose teas, but the ones i usually find is very very weak, you hardly know its rose flavoured. This one is perfect.

Another good recommendation is Davidstea ‘English Rose’ which is a combination of white chocolate (yummy), black tea and roses. It has just the tiny less of a rose flavor but still fantastic.

The chemistry between black tea & rose (& other florals in general) is kinda tricky. So far, I’ve not liked any I tried…. I didn’t find this one outstanding but it grew on me. I get a lemony-rose taste. Its black tea-base isn’t bitter or overpowering. Good enough for me to repurchase.

This cute little tea evokes memories of sipping rose white tea from a 1970’s flask in Norman Lindsay’s NSW garden.
