Inspired by our love of the Germany Pavilion during the holidays! Black tea with chocolate and spicy ginger, tastes like an authentic Lebkuchen cookie

Tasting Notes: chocolate | ginger | spice

One of our favorite places to go for the holidays is Germany! The Epcot Germany pavilion, that is. We love seeing the German Christmas decorations and stepping into the ornament shop, and who cannot love Der Teddybar with all of the little German-made toys and teddy bears!

Our International Teas of the Holidays Germany blend is inspired by chocolate-dipped ginger Lebkuchen cookies, a German seasonal specialty. On our unique label you can find all sorts of German treats like soft pretzels, gingerbread men, Lebkuchen cookies, and you may even find the pickle ornament!

Our blend to commemorate the holidays in the Germany pavilion is a black tea with dark chocolate, spicy ginger and a dash of festive red peppercorn. The flavor is an indulgent mix of chocolate and ginger that goes perfectly with Lebkuchen cookies and other chocolate or spiced treats.

Ingredients: black tea, cocoa bits, coconut shreds, dairy-free chocolate chips, flavor, coriander, ginger, roasted cocoa shells, red peppercorns

I wish I could have played around with this one a bit more. There was only enough for a single cup and the flavor I got was watery chocolate with a hint of ginger. But the dry leaf smelled so nice! I’d love to see if using more leaf or turning it into a latte would bring out more flavor.

I really loved this one, it’s not overly spicy like I thought it would be. It’s really got that ooey gooey chocolate flavor with a hint of gingerbread-like cookies.
