From The Tea Spot

Subtle, sweet, and sophisticated – this esteemed organic assam is from the Banaspaty Estate in Northeast India. Rich honey notes emerge from the amber liquor, with malty undertones far more subtle than a traditional assam tea. Also less astringent than traditional assams, the smooth sweet character of these slightly larger leaves deliver a clean brew with less tannins. Easy to brew up properly, this tea produces a consistently blissful cup that will transport you to India’s Assam Valley.

Little Terri fixed Breakfast, & the girl knows how to cook!
If you’d like to see the photo:
Wow, that’s a long link!

Nothing goes better with a breakfast like that than a malty cup of Assam! Although this Organic Assam is not as bold & thick as Tea Spots (not organic) Assam, it is still malty, with a lightly sweet essence & smooth body. A nice start for my day!

(breakfast that is…)

Oh, that breakfast looks heavenly! Putting my microwaved egg to shame.

My breakfast consisted of water so I’m a bit envious.

Wow, they must be scrumptious!

They were! Not too sweet, just a little maple syrup, cuz I can’t handle much in the sugar department.
I think my ‘retirement’ job should be a bed & breakfast. It would be great to have houseguests regularly. I could make awesome food from my garden & other local sources, take them on tours of St. Louis, suggest places to visit, take them on float trips, peach picking, or whatever happens to be seasonal. AND of course, there would be tea, SO MUCH TEA!

Oooooh….check me in!

I made a sil sized cup of this to help me tackle my meetings with China tonight. Thankfully it did the trick. This is little more bitter? than i like or rather the last notes in each sip have a bit of bite to them that isn’t my favourite across teas but isn’t terribly bad in this tea. I could have also brewed this incorrectly (read too long) as it got away from me a little. Thanks to terriharplady for sharing this one with me!

I can’t wait until we get my new bookcase/tea cupboards set up over the weekend.

Their regular Assam has more of a bite than the org assam, but they definitely both have an ‘edge’!

Basic cup of bold black tea, suitable for breakfast time and milk (if your into that). Im having mine in the afternoon, milk-free. I just wish I had some tea cookies to go with it. . . ::in day-dreamy voice:: yummy cookies, I want a cookie. . .

No cookies for me. Only tea.
