From The Tea Practitioner

This deep, dark and smoky lapsang has been smoked over pinewood, evoking memories of campfires, s’mores, and stories. Leaves are left in a smoke house to attain their characteristic flavour, and then pan-fired to finish off this bold tea. This tea is an amazing addition to culinary practices, as it’s an easy way to infuse smoke into any dish.

Currently enjoying a strongly steeped mug of Smoky Lapsang Souchong from alongside a blue cheese and walnut scone with a marscapone blue cheese filling. It’s a great marriage of two of my many tea related loves; black tea with scones and smoked tea paired with blue cheese. The funkier the cheese the better! I can’t take credit for making the scone but I can take credit for the filling; I love how the buttery scone and the creaminess of the marscapone add a softness to this otherwise massive punch of flavours. Really lovely!
