From The Tea Makers of London

This well-aged Pu-erh tea is from the Yunnan province of China. Pu-erh has dark and reddish black leaves with strong persistent aroma. The health benefits of Pu-erh are well documented such as lowering cholesterol levels in the blood, getting rid of toxins in the body and helping digestion.

Pu-erh Tea usually begins with a variety of leaf from exceptionally broad-leaved tea trees. Pu-erh Tea either left loose or compressed into cakes is then permitted to retain barely small amount of moisture and continues to ferment slowly over time. The aging process adds a fascinating dimension into the pu-erh tea, maturing the tea into something richer, smoother, mellower and more complex but without losing the original life of the young fresh leaf. The flavour of well selected and aged pu-erh, has an appeal which is the taste of time and life itself.
