From The Tea Junction

This tea is a classical “scented teas”. The tea is processed in a traditional way: red rose petals and the tea leaves are layered during the production process, and after the right quality has been achieved, they are separated by sieving. This way, the China Rose tea is given its typically sweet, full taste and its flowery flavour. Connoisseurs improve its note with a dash of cream or milk

I love this tea, I don’t even bother with a strainer/steeper as the leaves stay to the bottom, I just pop the loose leaves in my cup with a small spoon of honey, boil the kettle and add the hot water. I allow to steep and cool until I can hold the cup without the handle and not get burned (if it’s cool enough to hold it’s cool enough to drink) and sip away. This tea perfumes the surrounding area and you get a nice wiff with each sip. It’s such a lovely, sweet, relaxing smell of gentle roses. It tastes amazing and not at all bitter (like some things scented with roses, I hate Turkish delight!), it’s just soft and creamy and the slight amount of caffeine is a gentle energy boost that I adore in the mornings. It feels luxurious and is definitely one of my favorites!
