Delicate Japanese green tea with lemon peel and lemongrass. Light and grassy with a hint of lemon.
Tip: Use 1 tsp per 6 oz cup; heat fresh water to 80C; let steep 1-3 minutes. Makes an unbelievable iced tea!

Maybe a little more sour because of the green tea astringency. More sour lemony than candy lemony. I’ll rate it next time when I have a better idea of it’s potential.
I think I may have slightly burned the leaves to. I was in a rush!! and I had forgotten to time when I poured the water… in retrospect, probably two min prior. So I have no idea how hot it was. Next time, I’ll try this at home. Maybe then I can get more than two steeps. ha!
Also, this might possibly be the first time I’ve ever been tempting to add sugar. I think it would compliment the lemon really well. not all the time, but for a treat.
Oh and something else!! I like to drink my tea HOT. Not like my friends who let it cool down until it’s practically iced tea. This leaves a teeny window for me to drink my greens. and whites! At least my black teas used to stay hot for more than three minutes. Hmph.

So the next time I didn’t even let the water come anywhere near a boil and did two minutes of a steep. My cup is still burnt! Sorry Sweet Lemon, but I don’t think you are for me.

What temp were you using? Unless otherwise directed, I start my greens at one minute, and about 170F (and add a little more time and a little higher temps for later steepings). I’ve had a few that taste great using this method but which taste astringent if they are steeped even a little over two minutes. I invite you to give the tea another chance!
nods I was using about an 82C, so definitely a comparable temperature. I certainly haven’t kissed the tea goodbye, but since it was a sample it will have to wait until it again passes through my collection. I’m stubborn so I like to conquer the difficult ones!
I second SimpliciTea’s suggestion. When I brewed this it was at about 85c and less than two min. Very nice, no burnt notes :)
