Drinking this up, is it a sip down if we don’t know if we have more in the giant box of tea in my living room and I have no intention go looking for it? This tea bag came in my catalogue a while ago and traveled with me to Mass.

This is actually really quite pleasant. I would drink this again absolutely. I don’t pick up much of the tea base but the fruit flavours are lovely, sweet and tart in equal measures. It perhaps tastes a bit medicinal in the after aftertaste but I’m someone who likes cherry cough drops so I’m okay with that. Would like to try again with the correct water to teabag ratio because I was just guessing with this one. Perhaps in the future.

I received this tea from a friend a month or so ago. I am not big on bagged tea, as I’ve said before, but, this one isn’t bad.

This is a very “autumnal” tasting tea… I guess that’s because I always add oranges to my cranberry compote on Thanksgiving. Cranberries and oranges just seem to go together so well!

The black tea base is smooth, not too strong (it doesn’t overwhelm the fruit flavors, but, it is not hiding behind them, either), and has an enjoyable, rich and full flavor.

The cranberry flavor is tart and tasty, and the blood orange tastes juicy and sweet. It’s a really nice contrast – black tea, tart cranberry, and sweet citrus-y flavor. Nice. The after taste is very cranberry-ish.

How tart would you say it is? Like super tart or just mildly tart?

LiberTEAS

JonTea: just mildly tart. But the aftertaste has that “berry” sort of aftertaste… sort of like a little cranberry has burst in your mouth … not a BIG flavor, but just that little, berry-ish tart presence in the aftertaste.

JonTea

That sounds very interesting. I must try this tea some time.

This tea is really tasty. I love the tart cranberry with the zesty citrus of the blood orange. The flavor is really blended well with the black tea. I think I like this more than H & S Cranberry Autumn as it isn’t as strong on the orange, and more of the black tea shines through, but I would have to compare them again. Quite tasty.

And the teabag sipdown continues… Pretty sure this also came as a free sample with the RoT catalogue although this came fairly recently, so it’s less than six months old. It just sat around because I don’t like orange.

The scent of this tea is a little odd, almost medicinal. I noticed a huge change in the scent after about 3 minutes of steeping, so if I had more of this I would have understeeped and stopped before the 3m mark. This actually isn’t horrible, which is high praise from me since this is an orange tea (I really really hate orange.) Surprisingly, the black base really stands out more than the fruit flavors. The sweet orange and tart cranberry balance eachother out fairly well. This really is a tea well suited to fall weather, although not one I would order for myself.

this one was just ok. I have one more RoT sampler to try after this one. This is a fruity one. The black tea covers up the potential for tartness and extreme fruit which I prefer. Still not a fan of fruity teas nd RoT ones have this strange aftertaste I can’t describe. Maybe it’s the tea bag itself.

Not a bad tea at all! Came in the catalog that Republic of Tea sent me. It’s really weird to describe, but the blood orange and cranberry isn’t really a flavor that sticks out. The aroma is definitely there, but the taste is very very subtle.

Very good sample. I might consider buying this one.

The 6th and final of my RoT fruit frenzy. I like that after the intial fruitiness, the black tea flavor comes through. I liked this it was tasty. But honestly Republic of Tea is simply too expensive for a fairly weak tea mixed with Kool-Aid. I really like Kool-Aid but I can buy it much cheaper and mix it myself. Your mileage may vary.

I got this tea in one of the steepster selects. It came in a sampler pack. It was really good. It was a nice black tea with just the right amount of orange and cranberry without being too “fakey”.

I am in love with this black tea. Steeped for strong & added stevia. Maybe it’s because I love blood orange juice so much and there is just the right amount of it in this tea. I bought this as a loose leaf tea in the bulk section at Central Market (HEB) and I couldn’t be more pleased. I’ve been drinking Mates in the morning but will be switching back to the tried and true blacks I think! Can’t wait to try it iced!
